.NightKill is a character created by CoconutMall, with help from ThecapM, and is a variation of Sonic.exe.
A living embodiment of shadow and nightmares, he roams the lands attempting to bring about the end of the world, slaughtering its inhabitants one by one.
Appearance[]
.NightKill vaguely resembles an anthropomorphic hedgehog covered in shadow, with the only discernible features on him being his eyes. .NightKill seems to be perpetually backlit by a brownish-orange light.
Personality[]
.NightKill is a living representation of fear and nightmares, and as such, is deadly and constantly on the hunt. Despite being made to defeat Sonic, .NightKill has no hard feelings towards the Blue Blur, and is simply just following his nature to destroy everything.
When taken outside his universe and with other EXEs, he's allegedly shy and does not speak to them too often.
Biography[]
Death Egg Zone, Sonic and Knuckles...
After another crushing defeat at the hands of Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Robotnik got to work on another scheme to defeat his rival for good. He started coming up with a brilliant scheme, a machine that could bring to life the nightmares of whoever was affected by it.
Taking an opportunity, the mad doctor plugged the machine into Sonic's brain, and brought a being of nightmares to life.
Through fear of being too weak to save the day, Sonic's nightmares gave rise to .NightKill, who would torment him inside his dream before Robotnik's machine brought him over to the real world.
However, what the doctor did not expect was for .NightKill to have his own plans of world destruction, and after being brought to reality, .NightKill would destroy Robotnik's lab from the inside out, with the mad doctor inside.
Team Sonic, hearing the commotion, rushed over to the ruined lab, only to discover Robotnik's corpse. Such a morbid sight had kept the trio from noticing .NightKill lurking in the shadows, where he proceeded to kill both Tails and Knuckles easily. Sonic tried his hardest to fight back, but couldn't even lay a finger on the shadow, while the shadows swarmed and scraped his entire body.
With no way of winning, Sonic fled, traumatized at the events that transpired. Running alone on the green hills, he desperately seeks revenge but is aware of how much the odds are stacked against him. Now, the poor hedgehog spends the rest of his days running in fear, hiding away from a presence lurking in the shadows, hoping that he will never be caught.

Abilities[]
- Possession: .NightKill can possess the bodies of anything that does not have enough power to fight him off, with the trade off being that he can't use any powers of his own while doing so. Notably, he's able to exist in the sunlight while possessing something.
- Darkness Teleportation: Wherever there is shadow, .NightKill can teleport to if it's in reach. He's not omnipresent, but he can certainly cover a lot of ground.
- Dream Projection: .NightKill is able to invade the dreams of anyone, and is free to mess around within it. He can’t directly harm anyone in this state, but he is perfectly capable of tormenting the minds of the dreamer.
- Intangibility: .NightKill is intangible to physical blows, and as such, is nearly impossible to defeat in the cover of darkness.
Weaknesses[]
- Daylight: As a creature born from nightmares, it only makes sense that .NightKill is weakened in the waking world. He cannot step into the light at all, and can only exist in the shadows of the world.
- Limitations to Possession: While .NightKill's possession is quite powerful, whoever .NightKill is possessing will gain his eyes, and can be used to determine if someone is possessed or not. Additionally, he cannot possess anyone with great power, leading to him only able to use minor animals to further his goals.

Trivia[]
- Originally, .NightKill was named ".Nightmare", but was changed.
- .NightKill was inspired by a dream that CoconutMall had on January 24th, 2022. In it, Tails was running on a flaming Angel Island, when .NightKill suddenly appeared and took him by the arm. The two disappeared, and .NightKill's eyes would stare directly into view, and state "HE DIDN'T GET FAR".
- Aside from .NightKill's design, none of the nightmare is canon.
- His version of Sonic is aware of what .NightKill is capable of, and rests during the day in order to run as much as possible in the night.
- He does not think of himself as the god of his world, but rather the equivalent of Satan.
- His canonical D-Sides variation is known as Sunbreaker, and is essentially a white Knuckles with an orange outline.
- Allegedly, he's aware of two other EXEs known as T4ilskuus and Source.error. He is frenemies with both.
- .NightKill's design is based off of Wiki Sans.
- Allegedly, .NightKill is canonically Colombian.
