0, also known as 0² (also spelled Zero or Zero Two), is the titular main antagonist and sole singer of the lyrical cover of Zero Two by Man on the Internet. It is a enigmatic, nihilistic being that was responsible for the creation of the Dark Matter. It was also responsible for the invasion of Ripple Star, intending on consuming the entire universe in darkness.
It was voiced by Alex Beckham who also provided the voice of Elder Princess Shroob in The Final Battle WITH LYRICS, Dimentio in Super Paper Mario: Musical Bytes, Marx in Vs. Marx With Lyrics, Omega from Cannon Ball With Lyrics, and Lavos in Chrono Trigger: The Musical.
Personality[]
Unlike its original counterpart who had no personality, 0 in the song is presented as an incredibly nihilistic entity that lives to destroy. Its views are overall twisted, believing that everything should be reduced to nothing and intends to destroy the entire universe by consuming it in darkness, eradicating all life.
Deep down, however, 0 is an incredibly insecure and somewhat saddened entity, questioning its own purpose on whether or not it exists for destruction and daring not to dream. In the middle of the song, it genuinely wonders if Kirby even fears it. 0 cannot stand to see others even being happy, likely due to the fact the only thing it has ever known is destruction.
Overall, 0 doesn't appear to display any positive emotions. It is mostly just depressed, insecure, and arrogant, willing to destroy everything in its path due to what it believes is its "purpose."
Biography[]
While not too much is known about 0's past, it is known that it created the Dark Matter in the past to aid it in its cataclysmic goals, presumably using it to terrorize and destroy multiple civilizations.
One day, 0 and the Dark Matter would arrive on Ripple Star and invade the planet, polluting it in darkness and infected its civilians with darkness, searching for the crystal in order to destroy it. Eventually, the entire planet would become engulfed in darkness.
Eventually, 0 would encounter Kirby who would try to take it down. They would engage in a fight, with 0 intending to kill Kirby so he wouldn't stand in its way of trying to destroy everything. After multiple blows from the crystal, however, 0 would be destroyed.
