The 1.4 Tribe are the secondary antagonists of Immersion Part 7 | Open Fire. They are a resistance group under the leadership of Nepo that refused to evolve following the launch of Scratch 2.0 and spent years planning an attack on Scratch to restore the 1.4 era.
History[]
After the launch of Scratch 2.0, the members of the tribe banded together due to their common belief of the superiority of Scratch 1.4, the older version of Scratch that predated 2.0. They spent years planning an attack on Scratch, which continued even following the launch of Scratch 3.0.
At the end of Immersion Part 6 | Broken Bars leader of the tribe, Nepo, encountered Erif after he had been blasted to Earth by the giant defense robot guarding Alteration's prison cell. The next game in the series, Immersion Part 7 | Open Fire, picks up exactly where the previous one left off, thus continuing the story from there. After Nepo explained how he and the 1.4 Tribe had been planning to invade Scratch as revenge for the progression beyond the 1.4 era, he imprisoned him, along with Pumpkin Boy, and planned to soon execute them to make an example for anyone who tried to resist the 1.4 Tribe.
Five days later, however, Erif and Pumpkin Boy both escaped by means of a gadget that the former had been working on while in prison. The troops quickly found out about their escape and began to chase them down through their tribelands, which were littered with thorny, poisonous plants and deadly totems. The chase continued through the mountains, a temple, and even into the outer fields. However, Pumpkin Boy eventually came up with the idea to jump off a cliff, which Erif followed, preventing the troops from catching up to them.
Since the area of Scratch that they attacked is never visited in the later games, it is unknown whether or not they succeeded.
Trivia[]
- They are the only villainous organization in the Immersion series.
- Ironically, the creator of the series, Huntedskelly, joined Scratch in 2015, which was after the launch of Scratch 2.0. Whether or not the 1.4 Tribe is based on a real resistance group that opposed the launch of 2.0 is unknown.
- It's possible that they pay homage to the real-life Thanos Cat regime that opposed the launch of Scratch 3.0 in 2019.
