~ Abigail betraying Morgana |
Abigail Williams is the secondary antagonist of the 2024 Marvel based fanfilm Amazing Grace.
She is a witch from New York and one of the three monarchs ruling Sector Brittanica as well as a former minion and current arch-nemesis of the sector's former ruler Morgana Le Fay. An ambitious witch and warmonger, she took the position of the sector's leader from Morgana after many years of tolerance, and she went off to look for The Mandarin's ring so she could further her power. She is eventually defeated during her final battle with Captain America and Morgana, who are now good allies with each other.
She is portrayed by Sharon Stone, who also played as Michelle Merran from The Godfather fanmade continuity.
History[]
Abigail used to be a young witch at the Salem trials, and when she got older, she joined forces with Angie and Morgana Le Fay, forming a coven of witches which later became the supreme leadership of Sector Britannica in the post apocalyptic New York. She and the other two witches went after Grace Wilson, with intent of finding The Mandarin's Ring for more power. The witches reach Grace and Captain America after confronting the head of Sector Ciphera, who is Joe McElroy. Abigail appears infront of Grace and Captain America while they run away from Elroy and his mercenaries, thus preventing the heroes from escaping back to their territory and out of sadism, she claims it is fun for her. Morgana comes from the other side and tries to finish the heroes off. However, before they could cause any further mayhem, Tom Masters joined their battle, with intentions of obtaining the ring for himself and becoming a god with unlimited powers.
After the heroes escape, Angie tries to kill Tom by shooting a fireball, but unfortunately for the witches Tom takes control of the fireball with his powers and sends it back to Angie. Angie is killed by Tom, who promised to deal with the other two witches of the group later on.
However, when the two remaining witches return safely to their sector, Abigail surprisingly betrays Morgana and reveals her true attitude towards her, claiming she is merely her pawn for bigger, more evil plans. Usurping her title as the leader of Sector Brittanica, Abigail orders her guards to arrest Morgana, but Morgana kills the guards and manages to escape from Abigail's wrath.
During the final battle of good versus evil in New York, Abigail finds Morgana's son Benjamin Le Fay and lies to him that she knows where his mother is, as she then tempts him to help her finish a ritual for world dominance so in return Abigail could help him find his mother in return. However, this was obviously a one-sided deal, as Abigail would later kill Morgana as well, and eliminate whoever stands in her way.
Abigail almost succeeds with her ritual, but a moment before she could do anything about it, Morgana and Captain America, who are now good allies, confront Williams as they start fighting against her, and Morgana uses a sword to knock her out. However, Morgana knew and warned Captain America that Abigail is still alive, ready to transform into her ultimate dragon form. As the fearsome dragon from olden day legends, Abigail tries to kill Morgana and Benjamin. However, before she manages to cause the deaths of many others, Captain America reads a spell which caused her to turn into a huge stone.
Personality[]
Abigail is the most ruthless and power hungry witch of the trio. Unlike the redeeming Morgana or the tyrannical yet loyal Angie, Abigail has fun killing others and intends to further her power by betraying the other two eventually and becoming the true ruler of Sector Britannica. In fact, she is the de facto mastermind behind the plans for the witches.
She even claims out of sadism that she will enjoy taking care of her enemies, specifically Captain America and Grace Wilson. She is also very vain and egoistic, as seen when she comforts herself with compliments about herself when she wanted to overthrow Morgana and become the last witch standing there.
Trivia[]
- Abigail was originally going to have a backstory, which was erased from the story because the creator says it is too sympathetic for this kind of character, and thus it would ruin her potential of being a villainess.
- She is the first version of Abigail Williams in the Marvel content.
- She is based on the main antagonist of The Crucible storyline.
