Ace Swift is the posthumous overarching antagonist of the My Little Pony and Ace Attorney crossover fan series Turnabout Storm.

Biography[]

Ace Swift is a pegasus who competes in major races across Equestria. He and his manager Sonata make a living by blackmailing other racers and forcing them to throw the races to him so he can win the prizes while building up a reputation for having never lost a race. At some point in time, he forced a pegasi named Cruise Control to lose a race to him by threatening to use his connections to have Cruise's child sister pulled from life support.

Prior to the events of the case, Ace and Sonata attempted to blackmail Rainbow Dash with embarrassing photographs to throw the Equestia 500 to him. Rainbow refused and startled Ace with a storm cloud she stole earlier for the purpose of scaring him. Shortly after Rainbow left, Ace got into an argument with Sonata, who wanted to back out of their blackmail operation out of guilt. Enraged, Ace decided to kill Sonata and use her death as an excuse to drop out of racing. Sonata managed to knock him out by striking him with a burning hot golf-club and electrocuting him with her magic. Awakening shortly after, Ace took to the sky holding the golf-club in search of Sonata, only for the storm cloud Rainbow brought earlier to go off again and strike the metal of the club, which acted as a makeshift lightning rod, pumping electricity directly into Ace, killing him.

After Ace's death, Sonata returned to the scene to find him dead. Thinking she had killed him with her electric spell, she rearranged the scene to incriminate Rainbow Dash, leading to the events of the case.

Personality[]

Ace Swift was a terrible pony with little to no morals. He blackmailed other racers to lose to him by threatening them through the information he had gathered on them. Not content with making the other racers drop out, he forced them to compete and lose, making them waste their entry fee money and tarnish their reputation just to make him look good. He even went as far as threatening to have Cruise Control's sister pulled from life support. Furthermore, unlike Sonata, he felt no guilt in his actions.

When Sonata tried to back out of their schemes, Ace lost his temper and tried to kill her, showing his lack of regard for life. Unlike the other antagonists in the fan series, he had no sympathetic or redeeming qualities at all.

Trivia[]

According to Sonata, Ace was 25 years old when he died.
