Acephalous is a major antagonist in Five Nights at Treasure Island.
Acephalous is a Toon resembling a distorted version of a headless Goofy mascot costume that wanders around the abandoned Treasure Island resort, stalking and attempting to kill anyone who enters. Unlike the other toons, Acephalous relies on breathing and vibration in order to find Jake, and relies on sensing Jake's movement due to his headless nature, which forces Jake to stand completely still and hold his breath.
In both his classic and official variations, Acephalous is a toon in the form of Goofy without a head, which remains uncorrupted unlike the rest of his body, which is melting constantly. Like Goofy, Acephalous wears an orange sweater, white gloves, a black body, blue pants and brown shoes.
The only real difference between his classic and official variations is the coloration of his vest, which is yellow in the classic game and black in the official remake.

Acephalous becomes active on Night 3 and begins in the Bathroom, crawling out from the bathroom stall. Acephalous will make his route straight towards the office by exiting the Bathroom and going through the Freezer. Once he arrives at the office, he will stand directly in front of the player with his right hand resting over the monitor on the desk. To prevent Acephalous from killing the player, the player will have to stand completely still by holding CTRL, and, due to his blindness and headless nature, it will make Acephalous go away. Failure to do so in time will result in Acephalous jumpscaring and killing the player.
Classic[]
In Classic Mode, Acephalous becomes active on Night 3 and starts in the Bathroom. Acephalous will approach the office by going through the Meat Freezer and will stand ominously behind the player's desk. To make him go away, the player must disable a camera, luring him away from the office.
Personality[]
Acephalous is clearly a tragic and vengeful character despite his murderous instincts and the little information given about him. As documented by the SSA, Acephalous desires revenge on an unknown individual, often talking about them in detail and questioning for the reason for what they did to him, as well as if they loved him at all. He is deeply troubled by whatever happened to him and only desires salvation.
Acephalous is also very intelligent. As a creature who is simultaneously blind and deaf due to his lack of a head, it is unclear how he navigates the building, although the SSA speculate his movements by detecting vibrations, which make it easy as to figure out where to move to in order to reach the office. In addition, Acephalous also relies on detecting movements from other people, such as Jake. However, his greatest strength can also be his greatest flaw, as his enhanced senses on detecting vibrations and movements allows Jake to easily take advantage of this by standing completely still, which derails Acephalous' mission on killing Jake.

Unlike all previous versions of Five Nights at Treasure Island, Acephalous has a black vest in the official game, matching the official color of Goofy's vest.
When Acephalous spawns in the Bathroom, he is crawling, but everytime he resets, he is standing up.
It is unclear as to the reason Classic Acephalous is deterred by the noise of a camera shutting off.
