Acnologia is one of the main antagonists of Iron117Prime's Fairy May Cry, a crossover fic between Devil May Cry and Fairy Tail. He was once a human Dragon Slayer that transformed into a Dragon and went on to slaughter the Dragon race and commit acts of destruction and calamities towards humanity. He is also revealed to be the one that killed the Dark Knight Sparda leading to Dante and Vergil's origins.
Appearance[]
His human form is currently unknown as only his Dragon Form is shown. As a Dragon Acnologia is shown to be a large lack dragon with a pair of wings, streaks of blue, and having scars caused by his clash with Sparda.
Personality[]
Little is known of Acnologia’s personality, but what has been shown is that Acnologia is battle hungry and destructive, killing others for sport rather than necessity. Upon becoming a Dragon Acnologia would go on to kill every Dragon became across regardless of them being an enemy or ally, then going on to set his destruction upon humanity leading to him destroying an entire kingdom, showing that Acnologia threw away any traces of his old humanity to indulge himself in his sadistic desires. He also displays a degree of a vengeful side when he realized Dante was the son of Sparda, someone he once fought in the past and would later kill upon their rematch.
History[]
In the past Acnologia was a Dragon Slayer that fought in the civil war known as the Dragon King Festival, after overusing his magic transformed into a Dragon he wiped out all dragons regardless of which side they were on and proceeded to wipe them out. being responsible for many of incidents such as destroying an entire kingdom and killing Platina's mother who was Metalicana's mate. Afterwards he began targeting humanity and at some point clashed with Sparda, when their paths clashed again he finally managed to kill the Dark Knight leading to the freedom of the Etherious and demons sent by Mundus being able to kill Eva while leaving Dante and Vergil orphaned and traumatized, with the two following two different paths that lead to their heated rivalry many years later. When Gildarts took the 100 Year Quest he would end up encountering Acnologia and ended up losing his arm and leg, nearly dying at the hands of the Black Dragon of the Apocalypse.

When Gildarts returns to Fairy Tail he tells Natsu of his encounter with Acnologia and warns him of the danger he poses.
Tenrou Island arc[]
Acnologia makes his first physical appearance after Fairy Tail defeated Grimoire Heart, wasting no time in trying to wipe out the already exhausted and injured guild. It was only through the intervention of the spirits of Mavis and Sparda that they were able to survive through the Fairy Sphere spell.

Acnologia is mentioned by Sting and Rouge who were confident that they would be able to slay him only for Vergil to correct them that they currently don't stand a chance. Acnologia’s origins are first mentioned by Sparda's spirit who reveals how he was originally human and that he is Sparda's killer.
