Adriano's unnamed father is the overarching antagonist of rezendeevil's 2018 teen webseries Vida de Adolescente (Teenage Life).

He is a former wealthy businessman who was in charge of the management of a series of investments at Trinity and their schoolarships which allowed them to give their students the benefit of paying much less than the average price or not needing to pay at all, as well as being implied to be investing at more institutions around his city. He is also responsible for turning his son Adriano Flores into the prideful and arrogant manchild he is known to be.

He was portrayed by the youtuber rezendeevil/Pedro Rezende.

Biography[]

As Adriano's father confesses it later on, he was a wealthy businessman who was known to be one of the most influential members of Adriano's family around Londrina due to his fortune and how he'd use it to invest into the college Trinity and in other stuff across the municipality. However, little did anyone, even his family members, know that the wealth he got was all out of illegal schemes and corrupt manners, and also used that money to make more profit by investing in farms and plantations, which were bought with dirty money. He kept up with his corrupt ways of earning money while hiding it from everybody, including his own family. It even implies that him helping institutions across Londrina, like Trinity, was a way of lifting his reputation as a businessman who looked after the population around him so as to hide the truth behind his corrupt earnings, and with his schemes being successful for a long time, he kept lying to others and hiding away the basis of his fortune. In fact, he was so influential that the citizens of Londrina actually feared him and his family to some degree. People would always think twice or more before pressing charges against anyone from his family, Adriano as an example, with the fear that he would pay an amount of money to authorities so high that they would actually be capable to buy their way out of whatever legal trouble they would be put through.

However, karma awaited for Adriano's father, as well as Adriano himself, without them expecting. One time during strong gusts of rainy weather around Brazil, a hurricane was building up with an ever increasing magnitude and making its way downward from the Northern Region to the Southern Region. As its strength was building up while it travelled down the country, it destroyed many constructions on its way as well as causing other natural disasters across other cities. When it finally got to Paraná, it started devastating all the farms and places that were under the influence of Adriano's father, especially those from which he would make his profit. With all his investments finally devastated by the natural disaster, he got empoverished, not just by the destruction of his wealth, but also because the disaster itself allowed local authorities to find out that all his money was gained upon corrupt way, and thus he had many of his currently intact belongings confiscated by the police, even getting him the risk of going to prison.

In the end, he recognized all this sudden tragedy as a "punishment by God" for living off dirty money and was distraught by the situation. After the hurricane came to pass, he waited for Adriano to come back home so he could explain everything to him, and so he did. He admitted he lied to his family, especially to Adriano and his mother, and also apologized for all the false impressions of life that he had taught to him while he was growing up. What left Adriano more desperate was the fact that they would have to mortgage their house so they could have money in order to survive after having all their goods taken by the authorities. He also pointed out explicitly that Adriano had now to look for a job, since his former job was taking care and managing his father's business, but now that they were gone, Adriano would have to work harder with something else so he could help his family.

With his confession and apology about the way he had earned his money as well as for the way he had raised Adriano, this confirms that he is indirectly responsible for Adriano having the manchild behaviour that he had the whole series, leading to most events of the series. With that, the loss of their fortune can be considered a fitting karma to both Adriano and his father for their wrongdoings.

Trivia[]

  • Adriano's father is mentioned in many episodes, but only makes a semi-appearance in episode 109 (with his face obscured in the darkness).
