Other Media[]
In this other version far from the Dark Fantasy Canon, he is Darth Invictus, he is a powerful and dangerous Sith lord best known for practicing Sith necromancy and for creating illusions of events and places, even people, like Darth Plagueis.
In fact, he is the first Sith Lord to rise from the shadow of the Jedi.
Long Ago, before the war of the old Republic, an individual named Solaris Tarron founded the first Jedi Order in the planet Ach-Too, so he found individuals who are connected with the Force, including a young Taylon child named Ramin Aekon, who became Solaris’ apprentice in the ways of the Light, but Solaris not only saw a great potential in him, but also a great darkness growing in his heart. Ramin, in secret, he studied the forbidden teachings of the dark side of the Force, traveling to Moraband to learn more of the dark side of the Force. He then returned to Ach-Too with the intentions to show his new abilities to his fellow jedi, but Solaris was disappointed for the ruthlessness and sadistic nature of his apprentice, so he banished Aekon, along with some of his followers, from the Jedi Order. Later on, Ramin Aekon, now with hunger of power, became what the jedi now know as the Sith and renaming himself as DARTH INVICTUS.
BATTLE OF MALACHOR
Darth Invictus and his army are planning a full scale invasion to every single region in the galaxy, his army consists in Necro-Revenants, nightmare monsters who Invictus created as his personal army. Darth Invictus was making preparations for his invasion, but then, a fleet of Jedi cruisers arrived at Malachor in order to stop Darth Invictus from invading the Galaxy. The Jedi army, led by the Prime Jedi Solaris Tarron, he confronted Darth Invictus in a duel, the battle ended when Solaris scarred his former apprentice from the left eye, leaving it blind.
The Jedi were successful in defeating the Sith necromancer’s army, so they retreated far away with their wounded and bleeding leader. Unbeknownst to Solaris, Darth Invictus retreated to Moraband to regroup his army and to take revenge on the Prime Jedi for scarring his eye and face.
MEETING DARTH VADER
During the age of the Empire, Darth Sidious sensed a darker presence to threaten his power, so he commanded his apprentice and champion, Darth Vader to go to Moraband and annihilate everyone who opposes his rule. Darth Vader, came to Moraband, however instead of killing Invictus, Vader conversed with the witcher about the temple’s origins and how he was still alive, Invictus proclaimed the same words Sidious told him during the clone wars, he then represented some of the old relics during the High Republic Era, which Vader accepts, then he left Moraband and contacted Darth Sidious about the necessary weapons in order to achieve victory.
PALPATINE’S CONTINGENCY PLAN
At some point he collaborated with Darth Sidious to create Snoke as a contingency plan before the Emperor’s death. He is also the one who founded the Knights of Ren as his best warriors, including his apprentice and Necro-Revenant, Omen Ren.
RETURN OF THE SITH
During the Cold War, the First Order’s Supreme Leader Kylo Ren senses Darth Invictus’ influence through the Force, so he went to Mustafar in order to locate a Sith Wayfinder to Moraband in order to kill the necromancer so no one could threaten his power to rule the galaxy.
Kylo Ren, entered the Sith Temple after arriving to Moraband, Darth Invictus then spoke to Kylo Ren, he revealed that he created Snoke for Palpatine’s contingency plan to rebuild the Sith Empire, then he reveals that he has been in every voice Ren has ever heard inside his head, impersonating, Palpatine, Snoke and Darth Vader. He then offered Kylo Ren to be his new apprentice and to rule by his side in exchange for killing Rey. Darth Invictus then revealed to Kylo Ren that Rey is granddaughter of the jedi who Palpatine most feared, Qui Gon Jinn.
Darth Invictus revealed that before his death, Qui Gon against the laws of the Jedi order, fell in love with a woman and fathered a son, who fathered Rey with a unnamed woman. Palpatine then ordered his assassin Ochi to kill Rey’s parents and her. Rey’s parents left in Jakuu to protect her from the Emperor’s assassin, they refused to give Rey’s location to Ochi, so he killed them.
However, upon sensing the death of Leia Organa at Ajan Kloss, Rey saved Kylo's life and left him behind to mourn his mother, leading Ben to ultimately turn back to the light side after her departure. Having felt Organa's passing, Invictus communicated via hologram with Allegiant General Enric Pryde, who had previously served the Emperor during the Galactic Civil War. Realizing that the time had come to make his return, the necromancer ordered Pryde to send one of his Star Destroyers to Kijimi and destroy it in order to send a clear message to the Resistance. Pryde did so and Kijimi was later destroyed to intimidate the devastated Resistance.
FINAL BATTLE AND DEATH
After learning the truth as well as coming to terms with her past, Rey went to Moraband alone to face Darth Invictus and transmitted the route to the Resistance. Upon finding the Sith Lord surrounded by the Sith Eternal on his throne room, Rey was welcomed by Invictus , who tried to manipulate her by saying that he didn't want her to be killed, but to succeed him as Empress of the Sith Empire, all while goading her into striking him down much like he once tried to sway Luke Skywalker to do thirty-one years before. In actuality, Darth Invictus intended to use Rey's ending him to help him initiate a Sith ritual that would transfer his spirit into her body, thus "uniting" them and guaranteeing the continued legacy of the Sith. To make matters worse, Invictus told Rey that by transmitting the route to Moraband to her friends, she had led the Resistance into a trap that would see all of them wiped out by his Sith fleet.
However, a glimpse of hope for Rey came when a redeemed Ben Solo, no longer Kylo Ren, arrived on Moraband to help her in her fight against the Sith Lord. Feigning that she was going to strike him down with the lightsaber that once belonged to Anakin Skywalker, Rey transferred the lightsaber to Ben through their Force-bond, allowing Ben to promptly finish off the Knights of Ren while Rey ignited the lightsaber of Leia Organa.
With all the Knights dead, Ben joined Rey to confront Darth Invictus, who engaged the rival Jedi Knights in combat. Invictus proved himself to be not only a match for their combined strength but also superior, as after a prolonged duel, he separated the Jedi by first bypassing Rey's defense and knocking her away with a kick and then force-pushed Ben, briefly knocking him out. Invictus then briefly toyed with Rey, not even bothering to engage, before he then began battling her again and soundly slayed Rey in single combat. Not bothering to prevent Ben from going to his dyad, knowing it was too late for him to do anything to save Rey after she finally succumbed, Invictus taunted Ben again, reminding him of the ancient rules of the Sith and how Ben had been always weak like his own grandfather before he then once again engaged his former servant. Although Invictus found Solo to be far more stronger than Rey, he ultimately won the final blade lock and brought Ben to his knees.
Having no further use of Rey and exclaiming revenge for his first defeat, the necromancer flung her into a pit as reinforcements brought by Lando Calrissian arrived to aid the Resistance. Intending to dispose of the Resistance as well with his powers now completely returned, Invictus shot an immense amount of Force lightning into the atmosphere of Moraband, thereby disabling every Resistance ship for a while. Ben Solo, enraged by Rey’s death, and motivated by the spirits of his family and the ancient jedi before him, including his own uncle Luke, faces Darth Invictus one final time with his mother’s lightsaber and the Skywalker lightsaber fights back with his strength of will and shoves the Sith Lord away. When Darth Invictus lunges at Ben, he reacts by summoning both lightsabers and slices through the necromancer’s body. His body begins to disintegrate into dust while the explosion eliminates the rest of his Necro-Revenant army, and the entire Sith Eternal, including Omen Ren and Pryde.
