Airachnid is a minor antagonist of Transformers: Prime fanfic Redeem the Stars, serving as the unseen antagonist in chapters 18 & 19 and major antagonist in chapters 20 & 21. She was a former Decepticon and Megatron's rogue commander who left the group and decided to hunt endangered species just for the thrill of hunting. Upon being sent by Soundwave on Luna-1, she started draining energon of her Insecticons.
History[]
After Soundwave used the Space Bridge to sent her and the Insecticons on Luna-1, Airachnid asked them to serve her, draining their energon to satiate her thirst. One of the Insecticons was hit in the back of his helm, which led to him getting out of her control, witnessing what she was doing and flying away to the Cybertron.
When Starscream, Soundwave, Arcee, Wheeljack and Bumblebee arrived to the Luna-1, they finds the moon base that Airachnid uses as the "door" to the hideout she dug below. The team goes down, with Soundwave using Laserbeak to navigate his partners. When Laserbeak got stuck in Airachnid's web, Starscream manages to get him out, only for Airachnid to attack him from the back and drag into her den where she reveals her intention to drain his enegon. Unfortunately for her, the decepticon's former second-in-command manages to fight back just long enough for his partners to arrive and free him. During the following battle Arcee manages to damage the room's walls enough for them to collaps on Airachnid, crushing her and ending her reign of terror.
