Al’rnash, also known as The Cosmic Wind, is the main antagonist of the short story Life from the Void.
It is a sentient cosmic storm that was born when the Big Bang converted the Void into the universe. It aims to return the universe into the dark void of nothingness. Al’rnash began destroying planets full of life until it’s sibling, Renaruh, attempted to stop it. Al’rnash waged war against Renaruh and battled for countless eons but each side proved equal.
Biography[]
Creation[]
Before the universe existed, there was nothing but a void of infinite darkness. But then, the Big Bang happened and brought the universe into existence. In this moment, two beings came into existence, Al’rnash and Renaruh.
The Crusade[]
Al’rnash was initially confused with the surrounding universe, it travelled across the universe and observed countless stars and planets being born. It felt disgusted, as it felt the void was it’s true home and that this universe was something preventing it from returning home.
Al’rnash then began it’s crusade, arriving on planets and decimating them to absorb the planetary energy. For several millennia, Al’rnash destroyed several solar systems and was not planning on stopping. However, Renaruh appeared and battled Al’rnash in order to preserve the universe. Since they are siblings, the two cosmic beings were equally matched and neither could destroy the other.
This cycle repeated for countless eons, Al’rnash threatens to destroy planets and Renaruh attempts to stop it, and it’s only a matter of chance on how the battle could go.

Due to being a sentient storm, Al’rnash lacks a personality of it’s own. However, it is still capable of basic thoughts and feelings, as it was “disgusted” about the universe.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Darkness Embodiment: During the Big Bang, Al’rnash was born from the remaining darkness of the Void, and thus embodies the aspect of darkness.
- Immortality: Al’rnash has existed ever since the Big Bang, making the Living Storm roughly 13.7 billion years old. Al’rnash also seems to be indestructible, as no matter how many times Renaruh attempts to destroy it, it won’t be destroyed.
- Planetary Destruction: The Cosmic Wind has the ability to destroy a planet by engulfing the planet in the storm and tearing it apart whilst draining the planet’s energy.
- Planetary Size: Due to it’s cosmic storm physiology, Al’rnash is incredibly massive, being able to completely envelop a planet in it’s storm. It’s so massive that a spaceship is like a tick to it and the ship could get lost within the storm for eternity, as long as it doesn’t get torn apart by the immense wind.
- Interstellar Travel: As a cosmic storm, Al’rnash can effortlessly travel through space with surprising speed. Al’rnash was capable of catching up to and eradicating a migrating fleet of starships that tried to escape from the destruction of their homeworld.
- Life-Force Draining: When destroying a planet, Al’rnash encases it and drains all of the life from the planet. All life on the planet begins to wither away until everything is dead
