Alejandro Burromuerto is a main antagonist in Total Drama fanfic Candy For Your Thoughts?. He is a charming and persuasive young man who joins Total Drama, bent on winning the million dollars prize like every contestant. However, despite posing as a friendly competitor, Alejandro proves to be one of the show's most ruthless contestants, manipulating most of his fellow contestants (mostly the girls) to get further into the competition through his charms and lies.
History[]
Alejandro makes his first appearance by watching Cody and Courtney playing cards and Duncan and Gwen's reactions to it. Falsely lamenting the love triangle between Courtney, Duncan and Gwen, he then reveals his intention to use it for his own gain, briefly arguing with Chef Hatchet over it. He then plays the same role in the following challenge as in canon, with the only difference being his terrified reaction to Alien Cody's plans to kill him and take his skin as a trophy.
Before the following challenge, Alejandro was seen watching the interaction between Cody, Courtney, Gwen and Duncan. During the challenge, he was one of the first contestants to round up their emu. At night, Alejandro greets Duncan, who responds by coldly revealing that he doesn't trust him. In responce Alejandro laughs, admits that he's smarter than the others, and offers him an alliance. Duncan rejects his offer, claiming that he's gonna work alone, but Alejandro objects that he won't last long and starts offering his help, only to be interrupted by Chris' bell chime that was a signal for a musical number. Despite his initial annoyance, Burromuerto manages to convince Duncan to join him with a song, while at the same time pointing at his weaknesses and lying that Courtney was planning to make him jealous. The next day, Alejandro and Duncan were shown discussing their plans to eliminate other contestants in order to win. Alejandro revealed his idea to make Courtney mess the challenge up and get her voted off, but Duncan points that it will be a tie because only Gwen and Heather would vote for Courtney while Coudy would vote for Sierra. His ally responds by telling to leave the latter for him and telling to find a way to sabotage Team Amazon. He then talks to Gwen, informing her that Duncan still thinks about Courtney, and lying that the latter started spending more time with Cody only because both of them want Duncan to get voted off. After that Alejandro offers her to convince Cody that he still has a chance with her, making her decide to do this. Later, Duncan presented to Alejandro a scorpion that he planned to use to sabotage Team Amazon by letting one of members grab it. Initially their plan works and Team Amazon loses the challenge, but Cody votes for Gwen instead of Courtney, making her eliminated. Angered Duncan orders his partner to explain this, making Alejandro, who was thinking about the reasons of their failure, realise that it's because Cody fell in love with Courtney. He then lies to Duncan that he has no idea about it and calms him down.
During the Niagara Falls challenge, Alejandro ends up being Heather's partner. During his conversation with Duncan, he offers him to throw the challenge to ensure that Courtney won't win and get voted off. He then guided Heather through the labyrinth to the wedding dress, making her earn the 2nd place. After that Alejandro revealed Duncan the second part of the plan: intentionally give wrong answers to the Chef Hatchet's questions to make Courtney lose. However, their conversation was overheard by returned Noah, who decided to warn Cody about it.
While Alejandro and Heather were walking over the tightrope, the latter informs the former that she knows about his alliance with Duncan and says that she wants to make a secret alliance with him, to which he agrees. Meanwhile, Cody, who was informed by Noah and Owen about Alejandro and Duncan's plans, interferes, informs Courntey about Duncan's intentions and reveals his feelings to her, making Courtney accept them. Enraged by this, Duncan attacks Cody, leading to most of the contestants, including Alejandro, fall down from the tightrope. After voting Noah and Owen off, Alejandro scolds his partner for his stubborness and feelings for Courtney, while Duncan leaves the alliance, but not before Alejandro informs him that he always can return.
Before the next challenge, Alejandro falsely congratulates Courtney with her relationship with Cody and makes plants a seeds of doubt in her mind by comparing Cody with Duncan. During the challenge, he got a black belt and a chinese farmer hat from bamboo. While thinking about his alliance with Heather and his feelings to her, he accidentally stepped on Zodiac stone panel, resulting in getting attacked by a rooster. Managing to get past him, Alejandro ran forward, eventually, stepping on another Zodiac stone panel, releasing an ox and saddling it to go further. However, he soon enough found that rooster released another animal, a pig, and teamed up with it to chase him down, eventually succeeding and attacking him. After the challenge, Alejandro discussed Courtney with Heather, with them lying to overhearing Duncan that Courtney planned to eventually backstab him, convincing him to vote Courtney off.
During the Tanzania challenge, Alejandro was forced to wrestle Cupcake, full-grown male lion, much to his terror. Despite his attempts, Alejandro lost the first challenge. During the second challenge, he was shown discussing his plans with Heather, offering her to vote Duncan off while she instead wanted to target Cody, eventually convincing her ally to vote for the latter. Managing to find feral Ezekiel, Alejandro started chasing him, a bit too late realising that he was lured into a trap. Ezekiel makes him fall to a sleeping lions' den and wakes them up, making them attack Burromuerto. Managing to escape from lions, Alejandro finds Ezekiel, who was accidentally paralised by Cody, gaining the immunity. He and Heather vote for Cody, planning to eliminate him, only for Duncan to vote for himself, ruining their plan and getting himself voted off.
Playing mostly the same role as in canon until the race to Hawaii, Alejandro with the other teens get to the boats and swims to Hawaii, attacking Cody with a swordfish to eliminate him and get to the final two. However, he ends up getting distracted by his brief talk with Heather, allowing Sierra to give Cody an octopus, whom he throws at the Alejandro's face, making him fall over the edge of the boat to the ocean and getting eliminated. Managing to get to Hawaii, Alejandro agrees to support Heather, whith Chris choosing Owen as her second helper.
Before the challenge, he picks up the Duncan's knife which he previously accidentally dropped down, planning to use it to help Heather win. After Heather and her helpers crossed the bridge, Alejandro slashed it's ropes with a knife, destroying it and forcing Cody, Courtney and Duncan to find another way. Later, during his talk with Heather, he reveals that he helps her not because he wants the part of her prize money, but because he wants to be with her. Owen distracts the duo by lying them that he found a shortcut, which turned out to be a quicksand. Alejandro orders him to find a long sturdy branch to get Heather out and calms her down, explaining that, if their opponents will catch them up, he'll slow them down again. After Cody and his helpers managed to get to them, he picks Owen up and tosses him to the trio, making Duncan push Cody and Courtney away, but being unable to get away before Owen falls down on him. After Cody and Courtney got to Alejandro, he threatened them with a knife, ready to attack them. However, they were caught up by Duncan, who decided to hold him down long enough for Cody and Courtney to escape, starting the battle with a pounce at the Arch Villain before he could attack Cody. Burromuerto tries to make Duncan move, but he refuses, choosing instead to attack him. Their battle was interrupted by Owen's appearance who started cheering for Duncan, but was forced to cheer for Alejandro after he reminded him that he should cheer for him instead. After that Alejandro ordered Owen to stop Cody and Courtney and resumed his fight with Duncan, managing to wound him with his knife. Despite his initial remorse, Burromuerto starts taunting his opponent over his wound. When Duncan started questioning Alejandro about his reasons to fight him, making him explain that he does it because he wants to see them going down and get Heather's affection. Enraged by Duncan's jokes, ALejandro attacks him several more times, making Duncan hallucinate him as a snake. However, he remembers the chinese monk's words that "Some may be made to follow a path of action, but may not be able to understand it," dodges Alejandro's attack and punches him in the face, making him throw the knife away. Realising that Duncan is angry because he stole his favourite knife, panicking Alejandro tries to talk him down, but Duncan brushes his words aside and beats him down.
After Ezekiel accidentally won a million dollars prize by unintentionally throwing the Heather doll into the volcano, Alejandro was present on the following party, watching Duncan from the shadows and promising to get his revenge on him, before getting into an argument with Heather, who blames him for her defeat because he was way too busy fighting Duncan instead of slowing Cody and Courtney down. Despite initially deciding to not talk with each other until the end of the evening, Heather gives him a slice of pineapple, making Alejandro thank her.

- Alejandro is consistently paralleled with snakes, with Ezekiel referring to him as such when he told Courtney "beware the snake", him appearing as a giant snake in Duncan's nightmares and hallucination, and his boots described as being made of snake-skin.
