Alex is the titular character of the dark Cave Story RPG Maker fangame known as "Alex Anomaly".
He is a living traumatized doll who faced the worst treatment from obsessive mimiga fanatics that roam the earth. It broke him ever since, and he now seeks for their blood to pay for their depraved acts.
Story[]
While Mimi can't reveal his full story yet due to the titular fangame being incomplete, he can give out a short summary:
Alex was a living porcelain doll, but he would find himself in a tragic mistake in the moment he heard about the legend of Sue Sakamoto, which infected his vulnerable mind and soon ruined his life.
Now he serves as a reaper that goes after disgusting acolytes of Sakamoto for their depraved attitude.
Appearances[]
Alex Anomaly[]
In this fangame, the tragic doll makes his debut appearance, mostly cleared of the traumatic infection. After months of hiding in trauma, he makes the decision to stop hiding and finally confront the factors of agony.
ES: Reborn[]
In this prequel to Alex Anomaly, Alex and other select unlucky few of followers of Sue have been targeted by deranged overzealous fans, and his only goal is to leave his abusive circle and never return from the horrible scene.
TorokoSwap[]
In TorokoSwap's CSE2 demo, Alex makes a small cameo in Yamashita Farm where he replaces Sandaime. If Toroko decides to interact to him, he'll explain to her that he was promised that he'll be happy if he remains here. (Despite his confusion)

Trivia[]
- This character has gone through several rewrites.
- The early iterations of him were unlikable and were written out of fun. It wasn't until trauma changed his mindset, which also changed Mimi's sense of creativity and the writing of Alex.
- Alex was never written as a self-insert in the first place. But after what happened in 2023 and the following year, the character admittedly grew on Mimi and he started to become somewhat of a representation of Mimi's regrets as a stupid Sue Sakamoto enthusiast. There are also other characters written like him.
- Alex is written as a living broken doll for a metaphor about being mistreated by people more "greater" than you.
