~ Anderson's introduction

This version of Alexander Anderson is the central antagonist of Team Four Star's Hellsing Ultimate Abridged serving as the main antagonist of Episode 1 and one of the main antagonists of Episode 8, a minor antagonist in Episodes 3 and 4, and a major supporting character in Episodes 5 and 6. He is an enforcer for the Iscariots as well as their strongest warrior. Like his canon counterpart this version of Anderson is portrayed as a devout catholic who enjoys killing who he deems are sinners or unholy, however unlike his canon counterpart this version of Anderson is portrayed as more of a sociopath who takes pleasure in his job.

Biography[]

If the lyrics to his parody song are any indication, Alexander Anderson was born to a Scotsman and a prostitute in an Italian village. Orphaned at birth, Anderson grew up on the streets fending for himself until he was recruited by an Italian mob when he was 14, as a peddler/smuggler. On one fateful day, Anderson was being hunted down by the authorities after a botched heroin run, forcing him to hide in a village, disguised as a priest. His time as a faux priest gave Anderson an epiphany and a sense of fulfillment he never felt before. Then one day a vampire arrived at his village causing mayhem and carnage to the townsfolk. Unable to stand by and watch the vampire murder the innocent, Anderson grabbed a holy blade stashed away in the church and slayed the vampire.

Something awakened in Anderson that day; a euphoric sensation that could only be felt by slaughtering heathens and monsters. News of Anderson’s incident spread far and wide until it reached the Vatican who offered him a place in their organization. Anderson soon traveled to Rome, Italy where he was recruited into the Vatican’s secret division, Section XIII, also known as the Iscariot Organization, who were responsible for fighting against the forces of evil such as vampires and the occult. Anderson became one of their greatest assassin’s and was selected to undergo a special operation where he was injected with nanobots, granting him an accelerating healing factor.

Synopsis[]

Anderson is first seen speaking with an Italian priest who sends him to Ireland to kill a vampire that has taken over a hospital. After killing the vampire, Anderson runs into Alucard and Seras Victoria, after impaling Seras with multiple bayonets, he preaches a threat to Alucard who points out that it originates from the movie Boondock Saints as Anderson tries to say that he came up with the line himself as Alucard asks about the vampire in the hospital as Anderson confirms that he killed the vampire as he preaches another threat only for Alucard to once again point out that it originates from Boondock Saints causing Anderson to become Agitated and stab Alucard who proceeds to shoot Anderson in the head and turns to Seras and prepares to leave thinking he killed Anderson, only for Alucard to be suddenly decapitated by Anderson who completely regenerates the bullet wound as Seras runs away with Alucard's decapitated head as Anderson looks for her. He soon finds her and as he goes to kill her he is stopped by Integra Hellsing who states that Anderson attacking her subordinates is a violation of their treaty as he kills 2 more of her soldiers and holds Integra against the wall with his blades. When Integra asks about the whereabouts of Alucard, Anderson states that he killed him by cutting off his head, only for Integra to state that cutting off his head was only step 1 in killing him and asks him about steps 2-10, only for Anderson to turn around as Alucard regenerates right before his eyes, causing Anderson to flee. Anderson later appears during Integra's meeting with Enrico Maxwell after Alucard insults Maxwell, Anderson is called in by Maxwell as him and Alucard prepare to fight Seras walks in front of them with a tour group, causing the 2 to stand down. Later Anderson is seen watching the news report about Alucard in Brazil as he laughs. Anderson is later sent to give a message to Alucard about the Iscariots allowing them to use one of their private jets and has a short fight with Alucard before they take the jet and fly off, but not before Anderson sees the banner Alucard tied to the Christ the Redeemer statue and lets out an enraged scream as they leave Brazil. Later after Millennium begins their attack on London, Anderson runs into Integra as she stands ready to fight off a group of Millennium soldiers, as he introduces her to Heinkel Wolfe and Yumie Takagi as Anderson and the other Iscariots with him kill the Millennium soldiers. Later Anderson states that he disobeyed Maxwell's orders to save Integra and that he freely disobeys Maxwell whenever he wants. Anderson later leads the Ninth Crusaders against Millennium soldiers lead by The Captain all before Alucard returns to London and promptly summons an army of the souls he's captured into his service over the years as the souls kill a huge portion of Millennium's soldiers and all of the Ninth Crusaders that stayed and fought (as some of the Crusaders left before the battle started). As the souls close in around Maxwell he stands confidently behind his protective glass, only for Anderson to throw one of his bayonets and shatter the glass, much to Maxwell's horror. Anderson then flashes back to when Maxwell was a young boy and taken in by the church as Maxwell is torn apart by the souls and Anderson laments to Maxwell's corpse about the man he became before leaving to find Alucard. Anderson stumbles across Alucard, in his true form, Dracula, only for Anderson to demand that Alucard shows himself, and Dracula unwillingly turns back into Alucard, who proceeds to summon more souls, including Tubalcain Alhambra and Rip Van Winkle, to attack Anderson. Although Anderson is outnumbered, the Iscariots lead by Heinkel and Yumie are able to help Anderson overpower the souls until only Alucard and him stand one on one. Anderson then unexpectedly states that he forgives Alucard for everything he's done to which Alucard states that it's not up to him but rather to God, as Anderson takes out a box and breaks it open revealing a spike, which Heinkel identifies as one of the nails that pierced Christ's body. Alucard proceeds to taunt him about using the nail to stab him through the heart, only for Anderson to reveal he intends to stab his own heart with it. Alucard attempts to stop Anderson by shooting him in the head, to which Anderson responds by stabbing him through the head, but ultimately fails. The nail empowers Anderson while also giving him a more grotesque appearance as he and Alucard proceed to attack each other. Although the fight is brutal, Alucard finally defeats Anderson by ripping out his heart along with the nail and crushing them both. As Anderson lays on the ground, dying, he and Alucard have a heartfelt chat where Anderson reads his favorite verse, another line from Boondock Saints which Anderson confirms is his favorite movie. Anderson states that he understands Alucard as his body begins to deteriorate he asks Alucard if he wants to know how he made peace with his demons, Alucard accepts, but before Anderson can speak, his remains are crushed by Walter C. Dornez, killing Anderson once and for all, much to Alucard's anger.
