Alphus is the secondary antagonist of the 2020 film Pets. He is the brutal and sadistic right-hand commander of the lost pets of paradise, who is bent on killing Snoop and Simba. He is Sasha McKitty's former rival.
History[]
He was once a pet, just like all of his mates in paradise were pets. However, one day, Alphus got lost and he was offered by Deryous Softbunny a home in paradise, just as long as he shall obey his commands and act like his slave. Alphus accepted Deryous' offer, and along with the other lost pets, he made Deryous the leader of the gang.
He was first seen greeting the newcomers of paradise along with Deryous and the other paradise inhabitats. They were two dogs who lost their directions to home, one was called Simba Stern and the other was Snoop Dogrust. Deryous offered Simba and Snoop a home in paradise, much to their excitement. However, as they went with Sasha to see their house, Sasha asked Simba to talk alone to Snoop. She revealed Snoop that Deryous and his gang were evil and that the house he is offering is a piece of thilth. Alphus came along, and as he asked Sasha what is happening, she tried to blame Simba for the incident in order to protect Snoop. He did not trust Sasha however and he ordered Harry and Honor The Turtle to take Snoop to the vet. Sasha however secretly teamed up with Simba to rescue Snoop from torture. Alphus ordered Honor to find the vet's knife which Honor previously put in the vet's kitchen room. As they've gone to get the knife in order to torture Snoop, Simba and Sasha managed to sneak Snoop out of the vet's place. Deryous later confronted the trio as Alphus and the other goons have backed up their leader. However, after Sasha calls him a monster who promised them a home and never gave them anything besides treating them like slaves, Alphus and the latter turned on Deryous. Deryous however escaped them and lunged onto Snoop, Sasha and Simba, as the four of them fell onto a log which floated down the river. Deryous pretended to help them by using his sword as a paddle and lead them to a safe place in which they can jump back to the land. However, Deryous betrayed them and jumped in a dangerous place back to the safe lands, as the latter were stuck on the log and they headed towards a massive waterfall. However, after the protagonists managed to jump off the log and get back home, Deryous came back to his paradise and tried to make ammends with his goons, including Alphus (who is now their leader). Alphus however ordered Honor The Turtle and Harry to to release the hyena on the tyrannical bunny.
