The American Reich, also known as the Reich, the Nazis/Fascists, is a far-right neo-Fascist, Militaristic faction led by a former military officer who calls himself the Führer. The Reich is located in the mid-western, north-western part of the Americas, with a strong influence on the region. A secondary antagonist faction of Dark Future: North American Arc that is currently at war with the American People's Republic.
History[]
After the Great War, also known as the nuclear holocaust, and the collapse of civilization, this was one of the first post-war factions to recover from the radiated ruins. In 2063, in the state of Montana in the once prosperous but now ruined city of Billings, radicals from the US Armed Forces and National Guard, along with other local authorities and militias such as the far-right Nationalist Boogaloo Movement, armed themselves and formed a unified faction, creating a distinct stronghold that could be easily defended against other enemy factions. They then proclaimed the "Fourth Reich", or the Reich for short, under the leadership of Charles Harvard, a former colonel in the National Guard. Soon they began to expand, capturing nearby towns, bases, outposts and facilities and driving out the opposing factions. They controlled and stationed themselves in most of the subway stations in the state's cities. After consolidating their Reich, they clashed with America's communists in the People's Republic, and since then a massive war has broken out between the two factions. The Reich mobilised its forces in the west to defeat the communists, resulting in a brutal stand-off. The Reich then built a hard border barrier in the west against the People's Republic as they began to mobilize their troops eastward, as there were 2 important neighboring states there North and South Dakota, which if defeated the Reich would gain control of their important cities and stations, where there were many weapons, ammunition, military equipment, useful resources and fascist soldiers to increase the strength of the Reich.

Government[]
The Reich is a Fascist faction controlled by the Führer and his leadership with an iron hand. The Führer has absolute power, the region and its citizens are under his control. A highly authoritarian government runs the territory according to the order of the citizens, headed by Charles Harvard, the Führer who runs the Reich. The faction is made up of Neo-Fascists and White Nationalists who have introduced a strict policy of purges based on the idea of Nazism and prioritising 'White Supremacy'. All Muslims, blacks and people mutated by radiation began to be deported, killed or taken to concentration camps (made up of state prisons or underground subway stations) because they did not conform to 'American Purity'. A Nazi authority similar to the Gestapo was put in place to keep the Reich stable and clean, and most people were watched for possible rebellion or dissatisfaction. Their Nazi government intention is to make the Northwest region an "Pure White Ethnostate" because that is the only way the white race can survive in the Post Nuclear War world. A strong isolationist policy was introduced, and a stable border guard was set up, with the aim of ensuring that no one could get in or out.
Society[]
The main governing body of the Reich is the fascist government and the Führer, who has a high personal cult and authority. The Nazis also have government and military representatives, they are committed to the Reich, their idea and the Führer, and they are determined to maintain and expand the Reich. The society of the Reich is highly hierarchical, and everything is subordinated to the aims of the state. Dissidents who disagree with the inhuman ideals of the Reich and flee or resist the Nazi state are watched by their secret Nazi police, who are then rounded up and executed or dragged off to concentration camps.
Civilians are ordinary people who live in the territory of the Reich, usually in underground subway stations and shelters. They are not subject to the atrocities of Nazi soldiers, except when they do not conform to the Reich's ideals of humanity. They keep the population under surveillance, and if they voice their displeasure or escape plan, they are arrested and their sentence is usually deportation or death. The government makes them believe that what they are doing is for them, but they still provide them with a good living environment, citizens have established efficient trades, all residents are provided with jobs and a decent living, which only further strengthens their trust to the Reich.
Ideology[]
The Reich is a neo-Nazi Ultranationalist faction whose ideology is based on Adolf Hitler's Third Reich and the idea of National Socialism. They prioritise the white race and consider those who do not conform to 'Purity' as inferior. The Nazis expel, kill or deport to concentration camps all non-Americans and non-whites, as well as those who disagree with the Nazi government or are communists in the Reich. The Nazis also introduced and implemented a number of eugenic policies against the population. They also began to persecute people infected by radiation, and launched a new crusade against anyone they deemed mutant or "genetically impure". The Reich prioritises genetic and physical strength, and it is believed that the reproduction of those born with radiation-induced genetic abnormalities and mutations will weaken society and the human race, with the result that the remnant of humanity may become extinct.
Economy[]
The Reich introduced a new and efficient mixed economic policy, a national market economy combined with a social planned economy. The government plays a strong role in production and resource allocation. Private enterprises were started, putting the interests of the nation before profits. They have also created corporatist centrally controlled production bodies to which citizens are assigned. The Reich's main sources of income are arms production, agriculture, animal husbandry and water and electricity supply. Because of their aggressive foreign policy and militaristic nature, they increased military spending and supported the arms industry in particular. They engage in human trafficking with other factions, who collect slaves for work in exchange for large-scale payment. Even though the Reich is a totalitarian dictatorship, it is one of the only nations in the American wasteland that is not corrupt and provides fair economic policies and equal distribution even for the poor.
Military[]
The Reich Army is made up of Nazis and Extreme Nationalists, who are well-trained, experienced brutal warriors. They are iron disciplined, dedicated to the Reich, and fearless warriors who resemble the Roman Legionaries. The Nazi army as Ground Troops and the most elite Shocktroopers are well trained and highly advanced in military equipment, with weapons usually pre-war AK-103 and M16A3 assault rifles, well equipped with bulletproof suits and vehicles in large numbers including Humvees. It has one of the best military structures and personnel, and is equipped with new post-war technology and powerful, sophisticated weapons. Despite being much more skilled and equipped than the Reich soldiers, they are often defeated by the Red Army due to their smaller military numbers, yet they are still extremely effective in most battles when fighting mutants or other factions. The People's Republic wins its victories with its majority strength, while the Reich beats the People's Republic in a race of technology and experience. After consolidating their Reich, the Nazi Army pursues a militaristic, aggressive expansionist foreign policy, constantly occupying new territories and stations, and creating a Nazi military police force to fight internal rebellions, keep the Reich's inhabitants in check and maintain order and purity.
