Ammon-ra, also known as Amun, is a supporting antagonist of the Lightning SMP.
He serves as the titular main antagonist of the Vault Arc chapter "Lying Spirit", a minor antagonist of the Taiga Arc and a mentioned antagonist of the Liberal Arc.
Amun is an ancient and destructive spirit who allied with Horus in order to help the latter's goals to take over the three dimensions. Amun is considered Horus' loyal scout.
He is voiced by Zillius123.
Appearance[]
Spirit Form[]
Amun takes the appearance of a long swirling cloud of blue particles. In this form, Amun is fully capable of flight and passing through solid surfaces, it also helps Amun blend into the sky and the sea. Amun flies in the air in this form with the movement of a serpent.
Cloaked Form[]
In his cloaked form, Amun appears to be a humanoid with a grey cloak and blue outlines on it. He has blue eyes and his entire body is hidden by his cloak, it is implied that the cloak itself is not an accessory and is actually a part of his body. Amun only uses this form to intimidate others and rarely uses it for anything else since this form doesn’t allow Amun to be intangible. In this form, Amun can manifest a diamond sword from thin air to aid him in duels.

Amun views himself and others like him superior to mortals and believes they only serve as pets or toys they can use. He is extremely narcisstic and gloats how great he is, he even makes up things about himself that aren’t true at all to make it seem he is better than enemies. He is very arrogant which makes him underestimate his foes.
Amun is extremely deceptive and loves to trick mortals just because he enjoys it. He was claimed to have made multiple miners become lost in cave systems and mocks them for desperately trying to escape. While he is deceptive and narcisstic, he seems to be respectful to his fellow Spirits of Hormlash, also being very loyal to Horus, doing things the latter has tasked him to.
Biography[]
Alliance with Spirits of Hormlash[]
2000 years ago, Horus was defeated and killed, however he saved himself by reviving himself into a spirit. Horus would travel the world and meet other spirits similar to himself, one of them being Amun, Horus would create an alliance with six other spirits and all of them swore to serve and help one another.
When the Void Screamers were lost without Horus, the latter, alongside Dagon and Amun, came to the lost Void Screamers and gave them enlightenment, showing them the right path and teaching them life lessons that they can pass down to their children. As such, the Void Screamers then began venerating the three spirits who enlightened them when they were lost.
Sometime later, Amun would travel to Ancient Egypt and manipulate the people to worshipping him and revering him as a divine deity.
Events of Lightning SMP[]
Vault Arc[]
Amun made his debut in "Lying Spirit", after the Ice God Incident which caused Triscuit to get a bad reputation, he decided to clean up the mess he caused. An unknown vandal purposely trashed Triscuit's house by filling it with dirt and other junk, Triscuit and Raditya attempted to undo the vandalism until a voice calls the latter. Raditya thought it was Triscuit and told him it wasn't funny but Triscuit simply told him that it wasn't him, before a flying blur of blue struck Raditya which caused him to tumble down Triscuit's house. The blur later directed itself at Triscuit and divebombed at him, but Triscuit managed to dodge it. The flying blur later stopped mid-air and shapeshifted into a cloaked humanoid while descending to the ground, as the humanoid descended, it glared at Triscuit before muttering something. Triscuit was confused and aimed his bow at the cloaked humanoid, demanding what it was and what it wants, the cloaked humanoid introduced himself as Amun and claimed that he is a god, Amun stated he wants the Water Sword. However, Triscuit lied about the Water Sword and stated he doesn’t have it, Triscuit then called out Amun for being a pretender while Inmos and Boreas are true gods, the spirit simply chuckled and said that they are the false gods.
Triscuit called Amun a liar and fired an arrow at him, but Amun quickly turned into his spirit form and phased through the arrow. Amun then proceeds to charge at Triscuit, knocking him to the ground while demanding him to give up the Water Sword. Meanwhile, Raditya attempted to help Triscuit but was stopped when Amun teleported right in front of him in his cloaked form and pushed him straight to a tree, the spirit then mocks the half-demon and calls him an "inconsequential creature". An arrow later pierces Amun's cloaked form, causing a cyan crack in the form, Amun later turns around and sees Triscuit swing his pickaxe at Amun's face, damaging the left side of the face. Amun chuckles and said that he feels no pain and turns into his spirit form before flying up to the sky, Triscuit helps Raditya get back on his feet and hurried towards the woods as Amun prepares to divebomb on them. Amun divebombs into the forest and scour the two, searching across the forest while stating that they can't hide, however after 2 minutes Amun gives up and says that they can hide before retreating away. Amun later returns when Raditya and Triscuit fired a couple of fireworks to draw Amun's attention, the spirit chased after the two before he trapped them in a corner. Amun orders them to give the Water Sword already, but Raditya denies, Amun then turns into his cloaked form and manifests a diamond sword. As Amun prepares to kill Triscuit and Raditya, a beam of blue light came from the sky and engulfed Amun, causing him to scream in pain, the cloaked form then began to crack before he quickly transformed into his spirit form and flew away.
Taiga Arc[]
Amun was mentioned in "We're Not Alone" when v0yx asked Triscuit as to whether the latter has encountered a spirit before. Triscuit said yes before explaining his encounter with the Spirit of the Wind and that he might still be out there.
In "It's Not Over", Amun was inside the Temple of Hormlash, talking to a mural of Horus, stating that he wouldn't let the dark god down before shapeshifting into his spirit form and exiting the temple.
Liberal Arc[]
In "Banishments", Aikkop just returned from spelunking, extremely exhausted. Aikkop then tells Zillius that she thinks she's being tormented by something while she was mining, she mentions hearing voices and rocks moving on their own.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Spirit Physiology: At some point long ago, Amun died and returned as a spirit with supernatural abilities. Amun then gained a strong connection to the wind and was regarded as a wind spirit by others, he then deceived the Egyptians so that he would be regarded by them as a powerful deity while he is merely a spirit. Amun is noticeably weaker than most spirits, however he makes up for it by being a deceptive and unpredictable force.
- Intangibility: Like every other spirit, Amun can phase through any solid surface, being physically unharmed from anything. However, Amun cannot phase in his cloaked form or through exorcist magic.
- Shapeshifting: Amun possesses two different forms to operate: his regular spirit form and his physical cloaked form. His spirit form is used to navigate easier while his cloaked form is for combat and stealth. Amun’s cloaked form is completely physical and is made up of cyan energy. In “Lying Spirit”, Triscuit slashed the left side of Amun’s face with a pickaxe, damaging and leaving a cyan crack on it, however Amun simply laughed and proceeded to say that he feels no pain at all.
- Object Summoning: In his cloaked form, Amun can summon an enchanted diamond sword in order to aid him in hand-to-hand combat.

Despite Amun's narcissistic personality, he is still extremely loyal towards Horus, somewhat fearful and not wanting to disappoint him. Amun tormented Aikkop while she was spelunking in a cave, vengeful towards the one responsible for imprisoning his master.
Dagon[]
Dagon and Amun first met when the Spirits of Hormlash was first formed, initially Dagon does not like Amun’s narcissism, however after some time, Dagon has grown to consider Amun as a close friend.

Triscuitity[]
Amun underestimates Triscuit and sees him as an easy victim, but when Triscuit declined on telling where the Water Sword is, Amun was slightly stunned and angry to Triscuit. Amun gloats to Triscuit that he feels no pain when Triscuit sliced the left side of his face, he also thought that Triscuit wouldn't be able to hide from him, but was proven wrong.
Raditya[]
Raditya doesn't believe that Amun is a god and taunts him that he would never be one. Amun doesn't seems to be think much towards Raditya, calling him an unimportant creature.
Aikkop[]
While the two have never interacted directly, Amun has a grudge towards Aikkop due to her being responsible for imprisoning Horus. As retaliation, Amun haunts her in a ravine and torments her by attempting to drive her insane by whispering creepily to her.

- Amun is the first member of the Spirits of Hormlash to encounter anyone in the SMP.
- Despite only being a threat towards the main characters one time, Amun is hinted on returning and playing a bigger role in the future.
