Emory Andrew Tate III, known more commonly as just Andrew Tate, is the main antagonist of the "Andrew Tate Catches You" series of memes. He is based off the former professional kickboxer turned self-help guru and Internet personality of the same name.
Born on December 1, 1986, in Chicago, Illinois, Tate gained notoriety for his controversial views on masculinity, success, and personal development, which he often shares through social media platforms like Twitter and YouTube.
As a result of his immense popularity and controversial status, he became a prominent influencer online and in meme culture, specifically in the "Andrew Tate Catches You" memes.
He is portrayed by a GTA Online look-alike.
Memes[]
The memes typically feature an character designed to look like Tate in the game Grand Theft Auto V attacking the person whose POV it is, often depicting Tate in a confrontational or authoritative manner who doesn't take kindly to individuals that refuse to live by his advice. The memes play on his persona as a self-proclaimed alpha male and his tendency to offer assertive advice on various topics.
Some common subjects for the memes , or reasons to Tate to attack the main protagonist, include them working a regular 9 to 5 job, respecting women, drinking non-sparkling water, smoking, etc. all of which are traits/actions that go against many of the things Tate has preached in the past.
Personality[]
While Tate is portrayed villainous in the majority of the memes, there are some where he subverts his heinous traits and aggressive behavior, and they tend to be memes where the protagonist does what Andrew Tate would want them to. One example is in the "POV: Andrew Tate catches you drinking sparkling water" meme, where Tates flies his private jet down toward the pier the protagonist is standing on, crashing it, then climbing out and running over to them, only to give them a thumbs up for drinking the sparkling water instead of the regular water.
Outside of his ideals, there isn't much known about Tate other than he has a brother named Tristan (his his real-life counterpart) and is obsessed with his bugatti, since almost all of the memes feature him driving up to the protagonist or another character in one. There's even one meme where he confronts the protagonist who's parachuting through the air by flying toward them with a helicopter that's carrying his bugetti underneath.

- Both Andrew and his brother have reacted to some of the memes on their podcast "TateSpeech" where both of them praised the memes; Andrew describing them as "so good", calling the creator of the memes "the Top G of the week" and offering to pay them $1000 if they reach out.
