Android 17 is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Android 18) of The Cell Saga In 5 Minutes, the second instalment of the Dragon Ball Z In 5 Minutes series made by Mega64.
He is the seventeenth Android created by Dr. Gero as a part of his scheme to rule the world. However, when he is awakened alongside his sister, 18, he kills Gero for no particular reason. Afterwards, he spends the rest of the film trying to make sure he isn’t absorbed by Cell.
He is portrayed by Dan Christmas, in his first villainous role.
Biography[]
The Cell Saga in 5 Minutes[]
Android first appears alongside his sister when being awakened by Dr. Gero. Gero tells them that he’ll use them in order to take over the world, but Android 17 decides that he won’t do that, so he kills his creator by kicking his head straight off. Afterwards, he and 18 awaken Android 16, an affable, nature-loving Android. He doesn’t make another appearance until Imperfect Cell massively wounds Piccolo. He notices Cell on top of a hill and attempts to fight him, declaring that he won’t be absorbed. Literal seconds later, he gets absorbed by Cell, and gets presumably killed in the process. Cell then evolves into his second, semi-perfect form.
Death & Legacy[]
Though he doesn’t make another appearance after he’s absorbed, his death leaves a massive impact on the plot, due to him being a vital part of Cell’s evolution.
