Aubrey’s Mother, real name Annie Wilkins, is a minor antagonist of the OMORI fanfiction series, TRUTH OR LIES, serving as a minor antagonist in the first part CHILDHOOD. She is the neglectful and abusive mother of Aubrey, who is usually drinking and staring at the T.V in her house.
Personality[]
Annie is shown to be a toxic and miserable woman, who shown to hate people in her town, and shows a lack of love towards her own daughter. She is shown to be extremely miserable, doing nothing but drink booze and stare at the T.V allowing the house to be infested with trash. She shows to ignore her daughters existence, only coming to things when she has nothing better to do, and shows a lukewarm reaction towards her at best.
She is shown to be a hot head, psychically abusing her daughter when thinking she cleaned the house and threw away her booze. She also shows levels of xenophobia, towards Sunny and Mari’s father. It appears that Annie’s pats is the reason for her abuse, feeling extreme miserableness over her sisters cutting her odd, and seeing Aubrey as Annie.
Biography[]
Past[]
Not much is known about Annie’s past, except that she was raised in presumably Faraway Town with her two younger sisters and violently abusive parents. She used to defend her sisters from the abuse, however, for unknown reasons, her sisters cut contact with her. This presumably made her spiral down into alcohol. She met a unknown man and gave birth to Aubrey, in which the father left. Annie showed not to really spend time with her daughter, ignoring her as she rather drink and watch TV and let their house trashed than take care of her.
CHILDHOOD[]
She first appears in the chapter Parents, in which officers Artie Wyatt and Ryker Yang stops her after she got kicked out of her bar drunk for causing a ruckus. She tries to defy them taking her home before accepting, being driven back to her house before being dropped off, stumbling back to her house.
She makes a brief appearance in Unexpected Snow Day, staring at the TV as Aubrey runs pass her to celebrate the snow day. She tells her bye, however thinks she’s an idiot as there couldn’t be any snow in March.
She later appears in the chapter Barbecue, as the kids planned to throw a barbecue for the town. Aubrey approaches her mom and asks her to buy beer for the adults, to which Annie half heartedly says if she’s done watching T.V. The next day, as Aubrey leaves, Aiden comes in and cuts then cable from the house, making it so Annie can’t watch TV. Begrudgingly, she cleans herself up a little and gets beer, appearing later giving beer to adults and awkwardly standing around, sipping beer as the adults are uncomfortable around her.
She appears in Happy Birthday Abby, and Aubrey hints at her to buy a cake before leaving to spend time with her friends. After a few house, she decided, mostly due to her TV being out still, she goes to the grocery to get a cake, making a stop to buy more beer. When Aubrey returns and sees the cake, she sees that it’s made out of peanuts, which she was allergic to, and also spelled her name wrong, as “Abby” much to Aubrey’s sadness and disappointment. When Annie was out drinking, Sunny and Parsley help clean Aubrey’s house, and, with their permission, takes the credit when her mother comes home. However, Annie shows rage over Aubrey throwing away her beer and attacks Aubrey, assaulting her until she remembers her daughters before tossing Aubrey back and saying she isn’t worth her time before going back to drinking, the house going back into a mess.
She makes another brief appearance in Unrequited Love, as Aiden leads Aubrey, after Aubrey almost drowned. Aubrey yelled at her mom about how she almost drowned as she is lead to her room, and Annie shows little reaction to it.
Annie reappears in the final chapter of CHILDHOOD, being with Aubrey during the interview of Mari’s behavior, and when noticing Aubrey gotten upset, ask the interviewer if she was done. She then reappears watching the news report of Mayor Perkins, who spins a story of Mari being a drug addict killed by THE THUG, and when Aubrey looks distraught, Annie simply states “Welcome To Faraway Town” ignoring her daughter running away, crying.

Aubrey is Annie’s only child, but despite this, she shows to not have any, or very little love for her. She is shown to constantly neglect her and for her birthday, got her a cake she was allergic to and even spelled her name wrong. When Sunny and Parsley worked together to clean Aubrey’s house and Aubrey decided to take the credit for her mother, Annie showed rage and punched Aubrey in the face in anger, before simply saying she wasn’t worth it. It’s implied she sees her younger sister in Aubrey, explaining her abusive behavior.
