The Ao Oni is the titular main antagonist of the fan made 3D version of the game with the same name.

Appearance[]

The Ao Oni is a slightly tall humanoid with bumpy purple skin and misshapen eyes. Unlike the original game counterpart, his head isn't freakishly huge and he has green glitchy spots on his legs.

Personality[]

The Oni isn't given much personality like the og version, other then it possibly having signs of being strategic and trying to ambush the player, like when it hid inside small rooms in a hallway hoping someone would unexpectedly open the door. Or whenever he or she grabs a key to progress to the next area.

Biography[]

The unseen protagonist encounters the Oni after exploring the abandoned mansion and finding a key on a table in the library, he showed up out of nowhere and chased them until they escaped to the top floor upstairs and (presumably) locked the door on him.

He appeared in the halls of the second floor after the protagonist found another key to an attic and chased them, only for the protagonist to get teleported to another library after touching a book with the onis face on it.

He (somehow) hid behind two different doors in a hallway that led to a hidden underground cave, but was unlucky as the protagonist ignored the doors and unlocked the path by using a lever. He went and ambushed them in the cave, but the protagonist quickly hid inside a room and lost them.

The Oni made one last attempt on catching the protagonist, as they exited the underground cave. He chased him through the misty forest with an army of floating eyeballs. The chase lasted for a while until the protagonist was able to get away from him and hide in a safe room.
