The name’s Aragog, welcome to my crib.
~ Aragog “welcoming” Harry and his friends to his lair.

Aragog is a minor antagonist in A Very Potter Senior Year, the third and final instalment of the A Very Potter Musical trilogy of musicals made by Starkid.

He is a giant spider with the magical ability to talk to humans and the patriarch of his Archomantula colony. When Harry, Ron and Hermione stumble across his lair by accident, he attempts to eat them, leading into the infamous “Get In My Mouth” musical number.

He is portrayed by Jeff Blim, who also played Sweet Tooth in Holy Musical B@man.

Biography[]

When Harry and his two friends follows his children into his nest located in the Forbidden Forest, on account that they might contain information about the Chamber of Secrets monster, they encounter Aragog, the leader of the spiders. He falsely welcomes them into his “humble abode” whilst Harry claims to have regained his ability to talk to spiders, but Aragog states that he is a spider with a magical ability to talk to humans, much to Harry’s dissatisfaction.

Upon realising that Aragog isn’t the infamous Chamber of Secrets Monster, Ron Weasley wisely insists to his friends that they should leave immediately, only for Aragog to stop their efforts to escape his nest. This leads into Aragog’s song, "Get In My Mouth", a sexually charged musical number about how Harry and his allies are going to get eaten by him and his colony, containing numerous double entendres and Aragog himself participating with the audience to sing along with him (the latter of which is only available in the live reading of the script). Once the song ends, he attempts to eat Harry, Ron and Hermione, only for Hagrid to stop his efforts at the very last second. Aragog complains to Hagrid, claiming that he and his millions of children are starving due to Hagrid’s intervention, so Hagrid forms a compromise with Aragog by stating he’ll feed him multiple puppies by tomorrow. This pleases Aragog and his spawn, so they ultimately relent on eating the three teenagers and leave the scene.

It is unknown what happened to Aragog and his children afterwards, but it can be assumed that either Hagrid made good on his promise and fed them the puppies or he didn’t, causing the Archomantula Colony to stave once more.
