“ | (Neremus: The Chapel of St.Martin does not violate the terms of the White-Gold Concordat. There is no Talos Worship going on here.) It violates the spirit of the White-Gold Concordat. I urge you to cease and desist at once. (Neremus: Oh? What is the spirit of the White-Gold Concordat?) The Spirit of the White-Gold Concordat is that men are not and can never be, gods. Just as Tiber Septim is not a god, nor is Martin Septim. | „ |
Armion is a character in the Skyrim mod Beyond Skyrim: Bruma. He is a Thalmor justiciar of the Aldmeri Dominion stationed in the Cyrodilic city of Bruma enforcing the terms of the White-Gold Concordat (such as making sure there is no Talos worship allowed) on the city. When entering Bruma he can be seen harassing the priest Neremus claiming that Neremus chapel is guilty of violating the terms of the White-Gold Concordat (Or rather the "spirit" of the White-Gold Concordat).
History[]
When entering the city of Bruma. Armion and his right hand man is harassing the priest Neremus accusing the said priest of violating the terms of the White-Gold Concordat or at very least the spirit of the White-Gold Concordat. The White-Gold Concordat being a peace treaty between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion which includes banning and denouncing the worship of Talos, paying the Aldmeri Dominion gold, giving the Aldmeri Dominion certain priveleges to make sure nothing is agreed within the Empire that violates the said concordat and to sell out huge parts of Hammerfell (the homeland of the Redguards) to the Aldmeri Dominion. Armion is accusing Neremus of violating the Concordat (or in this case the "spirit" of the Concordat) because the chapel Neremus is working at honors Martin Septim as a saint and by that Armion and his right-hand man views it as almost the same as the worship of Talos (never minding the fact that the chapel only views Martin as a saint who is with the divines now rather than a god like Talos). This could have to do with the fact that the Aldmeri Dominion and its agents and ruling party (The Thalmor) views themselves as the true heroes of the Oblivion crisis while in reality the most of the credit of ending the Oblivion crisis and saving the world from Mehrunes Dagon actually belongs to Martin Septim and the Hero of Kvatch (The player character in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion).
He can aslo be seen talking to captain of Bruma's guard Adius Vilius, complaining that something has to be done about the little "Martin Worshipping cult" despite the fact the White-Gold Concordat says nothing directly about honoring Martin as a saint yet alone worshipping Martin.
Some time when it is revealed that Adius Vilius was hiding a group of Talos worshipers, Armion and his guards takes Adius Vilius to the blue-river prison, a concentration camp owned by the Thalmor and blasts The Player (Dragonborn) with lightning into a wall should The Player try to save Adius.
Appearence[]
Armion is a Altmer (High Elf) and has golden-looking skin like many High Elves (although this is not always the case for all High Elves) who wears Thalmor robes.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Magic-through the power of Magicka Armion can cast magic spells such a lightning bolts etc.
- Mace-Armion wields an Elven Mace.
Personality[]
Armion shows nothing but bitterness and spite towards Talos (plus the worship) & mankind (especially Nord & Imperials/Cyrodilics). Despite the fact that the Chapel of St.Martin does not violate the terms of White-Gold Concordat he still harasses Neremus Agrecian over the fact that the chapel honors Martin Septim. Armion has had multiple people hanged imprisioned in prison camps and persecutes people for worshipping Talos. Armion claims his and the Aldmeri Dominion`s actions (Including their genoicidal intentions) are justified by using the crimes commited by others against Altmer kind thousands years ago never mind the fact that it was probably before his time making him a self-righteous delusional hypocrite who seriously believes that wrongs of others make a right.Armion even outright states that he has no reason to feel bad for persecuting people based on their religion .Armion and his side-kick looks down on the citizens of Bruma 24/7 due to Bruma being close to Skyrim (where people dare to challenge the White-Gold Concordat).
When its revealed that Adius Vilius hasbeen hiding Talos worshippers Armion takes it as an offense and feels insulted of Adius trying to make a fool out of the Aldmeri Dominion`s authority and decides to make and example of Adius Vilius by imprisoning Adius in the Blue River Prison (which is basically a prison camp/concentration camp of some sort run by the Thalmor to punish those who violates the White-Gold Concordat)
