King Asgore Dreemurr is the secondary antagonist in Man on the Internet's musical series of the 2015 indie game Undertale, Undertale the Musical and it's Genocide Package.
He is the king of the Underground and ex-husband of Toriel who he had a child with, Asriel Dreemurr after being sealed underground by the humans. After the humans killed Asriel, he would declare a new policy that any human who falls underground will be killed which made Toriel leave him.
In Undertale the Musical he serves as the overarching antagonist in Heartache, Undyne, Spear of Justice, Let's Dating Fight, Alphys, Metal Crusher and its reprise, Mettaton Medley, Death by Glamour, and Here We Are, the deuteragonist of Memory and Undertale, the main antagonist of Bergentrückung and Fallen Down Reprise 2, the tritagonist of Reunited, and a major character of Bring It In, Guys.
In the Genocide Package he serves as the overarching antagonist of Determination and Battle Against a True Hero and one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Flowey) of But Nobody Came.
He was voiced by Daniel Wagner.
Biography[]
Past[]
Asgore, like the other monsters during the time when humans and monsters lived in peace lived on the surface. Humans declared war against monsterkind out of fear monsters would harvest their souls and the monsters were sealed underground. Asgore married Toriel and had a child named Asriel Dreemurr. A human named Chara fell underground and was adopted by the Dreemurr family. Chara grew ill and told Asriel to bring them to the surface so they could "see the flowers" but Asriel was slain by the humans due to a misunderstanding. Asgore instated a new policy that any humans that fell down would be killed, but Toriel, disgusted with his actions, left him. Asgore collected six souls before Frisk fell down.
Undertale the Musical[]
Frisk eventually reached Asgore's castle after a long journey. Asgore led them to the barrier and showed them the souls, and the fight began. During the fight, Asgore reminisced about his past before the new policy and showed his desire to rekindle his family. Frisk attacks Asgore enough to the point he gives up. He pleaded Frisk to take his soul and return to humanity, but Frisk refused. However, the possibility of a new future was ended as Flowey sneaked behind Asgore and killed him and took the souls.
After Frisk reloaded after defeating Flowey and became closer with Alphys, they went back to fight Asgore, but Toriel stopped the fight by hitting Asgore with a fire ball. Undyne, Papyrus, Sans, and Alphys all arrived to stop the fight too after Papyrus called them. Papyrus told Alphys he got help from a "tiny flower" and then Flowey attacked them. Flowey tries to kill Frish, but everyone including Asgore encourages them to keep going but Flowey absorbs all their souls and becomes Asriel Dreemurr.
After Frisk defeated and redeemed Asriel, Asriel breaks the barrier and returns all the souls, including Asgore's. The monsters all exit from the underground, back to the surface. Asgore lives his surface life as a florist for Toriel's school with the conflict between humans and monsters being over.
Undertale Genocide Package[]
Frisk arrives in Asgore's throne room after defeating Sans. Asgore doesn't recognize Frisk as a human at first due to their high LV. Frisk instigates a fight between Asgore and Asgore tries to reason with the human, but Frisk attacks him in one hit, killing him and Flowey arrives from behind and breaks his soul using his pellets.

- Asgore proclaiming himself as the mountain king throughout the musical references his song name being called Bergentrückung and that translating to "Mountain King" in German.
