Ayano Aishi, also known as The Yandere Girl, the main protagonist of the Sci-Fi Drama story, Lovelorn: A Love Story, a rewrite of Yandere Simulator.

She is a Japanese high school student born with the incapable to feel emotions or gain attachment towards others, until she met Taro Yamada, known as Senpai, and fell infatuated with him and obsessed with keeping him for herself while taking care of hr rivals by any means necessary. However, Ayano finds inner conflict as she researches her history and struggles between what she wants and what others wanted, with her feelings being even more compounded with the revelation she’s stuck in a time loop.

Personality[]

Ayano, ever since she was a child, lived with a hereditary illness that left her unable to feel compassion or empathy for others. She acknowledge that for most of her childhood, she couldn’t feel happiness, sadness, anger or any other emotions for others, merely having an empty feeling in her chest that left her unable to feel satisfied. While she can easily fake emotional attachments towards others, which she used to make some friends growing up, she herself couldn’t understand them and knew it was just a mask to present to others.

However, when she met Taro Yamada one day, Ayano finally felt something, a deep infatuation with another human being, a feeling all too alien to her. This feeling turned her obsessed as she wanted to feel it more, as now she had a taste of something she was deprived of all her life. These feelings of infatuation spurred by meeting Taro Yamada has now gained way to other emotions, primarily obsessed perversion, and later deep jealously when finding other people were interested in him as well. This had led her to feeling another emotion: Fear. Obsessed over Taro and now afraid of potentially going back to a life of apathy and emptiness, Ayano snaps and decides to follow in her families footsteps: To win her Senpai’s affections and do away with any competition by any means, including murder.

Aishi is both ruthless and highly intelligent in her acts, being proficient in weapons, stealth, and manipulation In order to get her way. She is also ruthlessly efficient in her acts of murder, going clean and quiet to dealing with others. Despite this, she can experiences brief flashes of sadism, with more brutal kills leading her mental health spiraling as she laughs psychotically to calm herself down. She is very socially aware of others, able to pick up ques of pyjwes conversations and histories in order to use it to her advantage. She is also academically smart, though doesn’t excel beyond what is needed to keep herself under the eyes of others.

Ayano’s mental instability is completely dependent on the wellbeing of Taro Yamada, with him rejecting her, seeing her for who she is and being terrified, someone else winning his affection or him getting hurt making her spiral into psychotic rage or heartbreak, resulting in her slaughtering anything in sight before she is killed and eventually loops back with no memory.

She is able to work well with others, maintaining a very calm yet level headed and polite disposition, even with the likes of Info-Chan. However, Ayano’s single minded drive towards Senpai results in her being emotionally stunted, which leaves challenges with having to socially talk to others, as even as she can have superficial friendships, she cannot meaningfully connect with others, leaving her somewhat unpopular or ignored and not taken seriously compared to more likable students.

Ayano is also limited by the time loop she discovers herself to be in, having constantly repeated weeks and days with, while memories of previous loops, unable to properly she is repeating the day and not realizing when someone is back to life she previously killed, her mind blanking out afterwards if she tries questioning it. However, she slowly pieces together and becomes frustrated when they seemingly keep surviving, unable to process until the end of the First Saga that she is currently in a time loop

Despite her ruthlessness and her lack of empathy, Ayano herself is capable of some emotional bandwidth that the women in her family lack, even if she tries burying it, with the time loop seemingly causing these new shades of humanity to crop up. As she attempts to ingratiate herself into other students and joining clubs, she begins to somewhat realize her peers own struggles, and in her attempts to take out various rivals, she is capable of being pragmatic and taking them out by befriending them. These stages also make her slowly realize that her rivals themselves are people with families, ambitions and dreams. She attempts to bury these complicated feelings when trying to kill them, but they begin resurfacing and plaguing her mind with doubt. She also begins finding some passion in the clubs she does beyond the pragmatic usage they have, resulting in her finding some genuine liking, which further spirals her as it directly contradicts her belief that only her Sendai can make her happy.

Furthermore, Ayano herself is capable of showing genuine standards and even being disgusted by others. She found Kokona’s situation with her father pitiable and is angered by Musume’s loan shark father. She also shows discomfort towards Osana’s stalker, due to it paralleling her own obsession with Taro, an act she attempts to keep away. While she has little emotional attachment towards her parents, she seemed to have some genuine love for her father, Jokichi, understanding the abuse her mother put him through. Most notably though, Ayano shows to be deeply horrified and disgusted by Mida Rana’s depraved Ephebophilia, outright calling her a monster when discovering her basement where she has evidence of her previous crimes. This most notably is the thing that effected Ayano, and slowly making her believe she can be just as capable of being evil due to her own plans to kidnap Taro if all else fails.

Ayano Aishi was born January 17th, 2008 to Ryoba and Jockichi Aishi in Eastern Japan. Ayano had come from the Aishi Family Bloodline, a female dominated clan in which inflicted with a “curse” the inability to feel compassion or emotions until meeting that “special someone.” Ayano herself had been born with the “curse” and from a young age, was quiet, apathetic and completely hollow. Jockichi once found Ayano, when she was 5 years old, murdering a kitten just to try and see if she felt joy, only to discover she hadn’t. Jockichi attempted to help Ayano with therapist and professional help, to no avail as even they couldn’t understand her issues, leaving Jockichi depressed. Ryoba however, a woman already “cured” of her disease, claims to Ayano that one day, she’ll find a person she’ll love and be cured herself.

Not wanting to see her dad be saddened and resenting her own feelings of apathy, Ayano went through her childhood pretending to have emotional attachments and pretending to feel things in order to gain some close friends, such as Midori Gurin and Kami Dere, who met when they were in elementary school and spent time together. Ayano coast through on her apathetic life for the next few years until she came into high school, where her mother and Jockichi traveled to America for “business” leaving Ayano to live in her house all alone.

Ayano attended Akedemi High School, where she settled into her routine until bumping into a young boy, Taro Yamada. Immediately becoming love struck with the boy, she found herself feeling “cured” as she no longer felt apathy or emptiness, instead feeling infatuated and obsessed. However, when she finds that Taro has multiple admirers, she becomes extremely distraught and decides to get her “Senpai” to notice her and take care of all the other rivals, by any means necessary.

During this, Ayano got contacted by Info-Chan, a mysterious hacker who offered her services to Aishi to help her deal with her rivals and win Taro’s heart, for an enigmatic reason, to which Ayano accepted.

Strengths[]

High Intelligence - Ayano shows a ruthless and shrewd intelligence, able to form complex plans to dispatch of her rivals using manipulation, the area around her and able to be patient while doing so.
Stealth - Ayano is very stealthy and trained herself to move with precision and quietness. She is able to move quickly and silently through the halls of her school. Hiding away in corners or behind doors with no one to notice her, and is able to kill someone quietly before dispatching of their corpse and escaping.
Social Awareness -
Above Average Strength - Ayano herself is an above average girl in strength, usually with rigorous training and exercise. She is able to carry heavy objects, move them without hassle, climb easily and go hand to hand with various students and easil6 take them down. The only exceptions to these are adults such as the teachers as well as the student council and delinquents.

Weaknesses[]

Mental Instability - Ayano is genuinely mentally unstable and disturbed due to her obsession with Taro Yamada and her desperation of not losing him. this leads to her becoming reckless in her goals and, if Taro is hurt, rejects her or accepts the love of another, or she is otherwise exposed, she will SNAP, and proceed to rampage around until she is killed and the time resets.
Lack of Charisma - While being intelligent and adept at social situations, Ayano is terrible at having any charisma, becoming socially awkward around others and neutral, with many able to see through any fake kindness she tries to overplay.
Time Loop Vulnerability - As she realizes at the end of the first saga, Ayano is in a time loop of some sort where, while people can remember things about past days, the week will constantly repeat, and she herself has been unaware of this throughout the saga. This results in Ayano’s constant bid for getting her rivals and Senpai ending in a dead end as seemingly things keep resetting, with the week only continuing after certain situations and actions.

Taro Yamada - Crush and Object of Obsession
- Ayano exhibits a complete obsession with Taro, referring her as her “senpai” as she became infatuated with him to an unhealthy and compulsive degree. Ayano is completely devoted into making Taro “hers” whether or not he actually loves her or not, and is completely willing to murder or simply consider murdering his best friend, peers and even his little sister just to make him hers. Despite this, Ayano is unable to properly communicate with Taro, getting clammed up once seeing him and immediately running away. In spite of her behavior towards him, Ayano shows to, in some degree, genuinely care about Taro deep down, slowly recognizing some of the hobbies he genuinely likes (such as reading and gardening). She also shows deep horror and angered when he’s endangered or targeted by others, and when Mida Rana tries to prey on him, Ayano outright comes to save him, an act that shocks even her for her boldness.

Ryoba Aishi - Mother
- Ryoba is Aishi’s mother, who groomed her daughter Into becoming a serial killer like her one day. Ayano has a complicated relationship with her mother, finding some amount of respect for her while also having some conflictions with her role, knowing the monster her mother is. Ayano admits she does care for her mother, yet finds herself pressures underneath the “Curse” she inherited from her. When informed by Info-Chan she expects Ayano to help her expose her mother for her crimes, Ayano agrees to it.
Jokichi Aishi - Father
- Jokichi is Ayano’s father, one of the few people Ayano genuinely feels love and care for. She saw that ever since a young age her father attempted to shower her with love and was afraid of her becoming hollow and apathetic, thus striving Ayano into faking having emotions and cares for others just to make him happy. Part of her motivation and fear of not having Taro is rooted in her father, as she is afraid of disappointing him. She also appears to be a bit sympathetic when finding ou5 just how much his mother abused and used her father.
Yara Aishi - Cousin
- Ayano has a minor relationship with her elder cousin, an individual not inflicted with the Aishi Curse and is living a relatively normal life. Ayano sometimes speaks to Yara about what to do about her rivals, with Yara trying to sway her into going with more pacifistic options such as matchmaking or befriending.

- Info-Chan contacted Ayano Aishi before the events of the story, offering her services to help her gain Taro’s love. Ayano formed a tense and professional relationship with her, though expressed doubt on her true intentions and grew suspicious on her. Ayano finds Info-Chan’s snark annoying and grows annoyed at her elusiveness. When Info-Chan confronts Ayano over what her mother did to her father, Ayano seemed shocked over the revelation and decides to agree with her quid pro quo of helping Info-Chan expose her own mother.
