“ | Gods like you, my dear failed child, are nothing but worthless scum who f**k themselves for mercy. I may be sent deep into the void, but even in a place which is worse than hell, I will always linger in your mind. Guilt will constantly remind you of what you have done, and you cannot rip away the sin I have tainted you with. You may be free from my hands, but your mind, and soul will never be free from me. | „ |
~ Azimondiaz’ Speech to Deathstar |
Azimondiaz is the posthumous main antagonist of Flowers in Antarctica.
He is the former god of balance, space, and stars, and Chairman of the Gods' Council. but later going on to abandon his duties, and become the apprentice for the being known as the One Who Shalt Wait Behind the Wall.
Personality[]
Azimondiaz is a master at manipulation, brainwashing his son, Demiv, into carrying out his evil wills, he has also been shown to be incredibly ruthless, not caring if he abuses his children, and even being willing to kill anybody who may stand in his path, whether that be his own children, partner, or any sort of accomplice.
History[]
Creation[]
After Ylianos created the Omniverse, he realized that such a vast and complex creation would require beings capable of maintaining its balance. To fulfill this need, he forged the first 13 gods — the most notable among them being Azimondiaz, the god of balance, space, and the stars. Recognizing Azimondiaz’s wisdom and potential, Ylianos appointed him as Chairman of the Gods' Council, the highest and most prestigious position in the entire Omniverse. Azimondiaz’s reign was known to be peaceful, yet strict. His actions and intentions appeared noble, and he even fathered two children during this time, as well as becoming great friends with Solus, God of the Sun, and the Vice Chairman of the Gods' Council. However, beneath this façade of order and serenity, Azimondiaz was quietly preparing for something far greater — and far more dangerous — than anyone could have imagined.
Downfall and Rise to Evil[]
Azimondiaz’s plan was deceptively simple: to take control of the entire Omniverse. This ambition stood in direct violation of the Gods' Council’s most sacred rule. Over time, he carefully orchestrated his plot, weaving schemes and manipulating events in the shadows. However, before he could fully enact his plan, his deception was uncovered by Solus, the god of the sun, energy, and victory. Solus immediately reported Azimondiaz’s treachery to the other gods, sparking an all-out war between Azimondiaz and the Gods' Council — a war that would rage for nearly a million years. The titanic clashes between the gods and Azimondiaz were so powerful that their battles inadvertently gave birth to new universes, galaxies, planets, stars, and multiverses. The conflict reached its climax when the gods finally managed to overpower and restrain Azimondiaz, dragging him before the Council to decide his fate. After much deliberation, they sentenced him to banishment, casting him into the VOID — an endless, formless abyss beyond existence. While trapped in the VOID, Azimondiaz encountered the infamous entity known as the One Behind The Wall. It was here that he set a new plan into motion, creating two powerful mimics: Starlight (later known as Deathstar) and Demiv. Starlight’s story would take a tragic turn when she was cursed, transforming her into Deathstar — the goddess of life, and eventual wife of Raxatholix. He would later go on to form a deep partnership — and marriage — with the enigmatic Dragon of Sins.
Battle with Deathstar[]
On one fateful day, Azimondiaz was working deep within his hidden laboratory when his son, Demiv, returned from a confrontation with Deathstar. Demiv had successfully stolen a fragment of her divine power and presented it to his father. However, before Azimondiaz could fully harness it, Deathstar herself arrived, enraged and seeking retribution. A fierce battle broke out between the two, but despite his cunning and strength, Azimondiaz found himself at a disadvantage. In the end, he was defeated — and as punishment, Deathstar ripped his soul from his body, leaving him powerless.
Present[]
To this day, Azimondiaz remains as the most loyal servant of the One Behind The Wall. Though stripped of his soul, he has not abandoned his ambitions. He continues to rely on his son, Demiv, tasking him with retrieving his lost soul and keeping watch over Deathstar, with orders to capture her and bring her back when the time is right.
