The BLU Pyro is the secondary antagonist of Live and Let Spy.
He is the right hand man of BLU Medic and a skilled mercenary of the BLU Team, highly devoted in protecting the intelligence briefcase after he took it back from the RED Team.
Appearance[]
BLU Pyro looks similar to other BLU Pyros, though peculiarly he wears a chef's hat and has a white gas mask called Foster's Facade.
Personality[]
Despite his mysterious nature, we can discern that BLU Pyro is a very obedient and persistent mercenary who'll stop at nothing to complete any assignment given to him efficiently. This could best be seen in the climax of Live and Let Spy, where he'd continue protecting the intelligence briefcase from RED Scout even after most of the BLU Team were killed and the base was left in disarray. He is quite a skilled and ruthless combatant when in action, and significantly more competent than most other members of the BLU Team.
Nonetheless, BLU Pyro is still prone to getting distracted. This was best demonstrated when RED Spy was captured on CCTV Cameras and he continued petting a Bread Monster, even getting spooked by BLU Medic's command.
Biography[]
The Bolted Behemoth[]
At some point while the RED Team were fighting against the Bolted Behemoth, BLU Pyro managed to take the intelligence briefcase from under their noses. RED Spy, Scout, and Soldier assumed they won after defeating the Robot Heavy, forgetting about the briefcase until they were alerted that the "enemy intelligence" had returned to base. With the briefcase in hand, BLU Pyro waved smugly at the trio before teleporting away and destroying the teleporter, starting the events of Live and Let Spy.
Live and Let Spy[]
Appearing in this episode's opening scene, BLU Pyro arrives at the base via teleporter and receives a heroes welcome from the BLU Team, with his fellow mercenaries showing him respect. After making it to the BLU Medic, he presented the recaptured briefcase to him, which in turn the made the Medic laugh sinisterly.
BLU Pyro later appeared while the base was alerted of the RED Trio's presence. RED Scout tried to take the intelligence briefcase while the others were distracted, but he'd be caught by BLU Medic and his mercenaries, one of them being BLU Pyro.
In a surveillance room, BLU Pyro was petting a Bread Monster until a BLU Engineer caught RED Spy in the "secrets" room. BLU Medic ordered BLU Pyro to "move" and Pyro dutifully accepted, heading into the room and taking down the RED Spy with ease. Him and two other Pyros escorted the captured Spy to his captured friend, RED Scout. Passing over a remote control to BLU Medic, he stood by him as Medic revealed the robots his team had made for Gray Mann. They were stopped, however, after reinforcements of the RED Team invaded the base.
Unlike his teammates, BLU Pyro wouldn't get involved in the fight, and presumably stayed with the intelligence briefcase while most of the BLU Team were slaughtered, becoming one of the last ones alive. When the freed RED Scout tried to take the briefcase again, BLU Pyro appeared, foiling his escape and air blasting Scout back. Scout reacted quickly by throwing a baseball into the flamethrower's barrel, rendering it useless, but Pyro reacted just as fast, switching to his powerjack and trying to kill Scout with it. Pyro initially had the upper hand of the fight, but Scout used his superior agility to dodge all of Pyro's attacks, eventually getting a lucky kick in that disarmed the Pyro and gave him his weapon. Scout pushed Pyro down a flight of stairs with his legs, then slid down the railing to deliver a brutal attack involving the powerjack hitting Pyro directly on the head and lodging it downward into his torso, killing him and finally ensuring the intelligence briefcase's capture.
Trivia[]
- Him petting the Bread Monster is a reference to the end of the Official TF2 animated short Expiration Date, where the RED Pyro could be seen playing with a Bread Monster.
