Baldi is the main antagonist of the Baldi's Basics mod called Baldi Goes Crazy Part 1 and the major antagonist in the Baldi's Basics mod called Baldi Goes Crazy Part 2: The Secret Hideout. He is an insane teacher who is looking for his ruler. He might be voiced by the same person as his canon version.
Appearance[]
Baldi looks almost exactly like his canon counterpart, where he has a green shirt and blue pants. He has one hair on his face despite being called Baldi. One of the two noticeable differences is that his eyes are in different places. The other noticeable difference is his arms and hands are towards his head.
Personality[]
Unlike his canon counterpart, this version is portrayed as more insane and crazy. He is obsessed with his ruler, even saying ruler multiple times when speaking normal sentences. He is willing to think anyone stole his ruler and tell them to get over to him. Despite this, Baldi is still capable of understanding things as he attempted to attack the Player despite fully knowing the Player wasn't the one who stole his ruler.
Biography[]
Before the events of Baldi Goes Crazy[]
After the Player left Baldi's school with all of their schoolworks where Baldi was obsessed with grades, Baldi was looking for his ruler after the Player left but he could not find his ruler. 2 hours later after Baldi began looking for his ruler, he went absolutely crazy. Early in the morning, the Player goes to Baldi's school to collect 7 notebooks like they always do to get the event over with. After Baldi went crazy, some stuff looked different.
Baldi Goes Crazy[]
When the Player enters the school, Baldi will ask where his ruler is, saying ruler multiple times in between each word. The Player would go into a blue classroom to get their first notebook. When the Player grabs their first notebook, Baldi doesn't feel like explaining how to use the You Can Think Pad because he feels like the Player already knows what to do. Baldi would then say what problem the Player is at but will not say the equation on the You Can Think Pad. If the Player were to get a question correct, Baldi would say one of four things: State he would give the Player an A+ after he finds his ruler, telling the Player good job before saying ruler multiple times and then saying whatever, question where his ruler is, or state the Player is smart. If the Player manages to get all three questions correct on the first notebook, Baldi would not say anything on the text of the You Can Think Pad.
After the Player gets their first notebook, Baldi would give them a shiny quarter off screen. Baldi would not explain how to pick up the shiny quarter or how to use items. The Player would then either pick up the shiny quarter or ignore it and go into the other blue classroom to get their second notebook. When the Player grabs their second notebook, the Player would have to answer two more math problems on the You Can Think Pad. When Baldi goes to say the third math problem that is impossible to answer correctly, Baldi would make an annoying sound instead of making a glitched sound, not even saying plus or multiplied by. If the Player gets a question wrong, Baldi would assume the Player took his ruler and then question the Player if they did, implying Baldi has frame/blame the Player for taking his ruler. In the bottom left screen of the You Can Think Pad, Baldi would become angry and his eyes would turn back to his original place. Once the eyes get back to Baldi's original place, Baldi would glitch more and more until he is no longer on the screen. Baldi would then yell at the Player to get back to him right now. Last, Baldi would repeatability says ruler after demeaning the Player to get back to him right now.
Throughout the game, Baldi would chase the Player by walking and attempt to catch the Player for supposedly stealing his ruler, not having his ruler at any time. Baldi would have an animated walk where his arms and legs would move back and forth every step he takes. Baldi would not make sounds as noticeable as slapping his ruler if any sound at all while walking. It is unknown if Baldi speeds up his walk with each wrong answer the Player gets on the notebooks. The text on the You Can Think Pad when the Player gets a question wrong would say one of three things: Baldi tells the Player they better give him his ruler back now, Baldi saying he would get his ruler back, even if it is the last thing he would do, or tell the Player it is not nice to take his ruler. Baldi would be able to cause a game over without his ruler. Baldi's face is also still on the bottom left of the You Can Think Pad while the Player is collecting notebooks.
When the Player collects the last notebook and answers all three questions, Baldi will move down on the You Can Think Pad until Baldi is not on the bottom left screen of the You Can Think Pad anymore. A second later after Baldi isn't seen on the bottom left of the You Can Think Pad anymore, a cutscene will begin with the player teleport to around the detention place. The Player would move to the detention door and open it, revealing multiple posters of the characters in Baldi's Basics, including Baldi. The Player would look behind to see the yellow doors, but no one is behind them. The Player would then go near the hallway that contains the classroom with the Black notebook, looking both left and right before deciding to go left. The Player would quickly change direction to go right. After going right, the Player would look towards the hallway where they started when they came to the schoolhouse, still seeing no one. The Player would then look at the closest window towards them to see the detention room again. The Player would then continue to the right before looking the dark hallway, still seeing no one there. The Player would then open the School Faculty Only room close to them only to see no one or any item in it. The Player would then turn back to see the dark hallway again. Baldi would then tell the Player that they better not leave the schoolhouse before yelling he is going to get the Player. Baldi would then laugh after saying he will get the Player. The Player would look at the detention room once again before looking at the hallway to the exit they started at when coming to the schoolhouse. After a few seconds of going to the hallway, the Player would turn back where they finally see Baldi, his arms and hands not at his face but his eyes still not being in their normal place, starting the boss fight. Baldi would chase the Player by walking where his arms and face are moving while he is running. He would also appear slightly bigger than usual. The Player would then go to find a teacher desk to throw at Baldi and deal some damage to him. If a teacher's desk were to hit Baldi, Baldi would say ow before resuming his chase, lose 1 health every time he is hit by a teacher's desk. Baldi would either successfully catch the Player and possibly punish the Player for stealing his ruler or take damage from 20 teacher desks and lose all of his health. After taking damage for the 20th time, Baldi would say ouch one final time before stating while the Player has won the boss fight now, he would be back, even stating the Player will see. Baldi would not resume his chase with the Player after making this statement. The Player would then go to the exit they started from when they entered the schoolhouse and exit the school. Last, the Player would hit a ride on Joe's bus and leave Baldi's schoolhouse.
The Secret Hideout[]
The mod explains that the reason Baldi went crazy was because he lost something very important to him which is his ruler. The mod also explains the reason Baldi thinks the reason the Player took his ruler is because the Player got a question wrong. The mod then states Baldi chases the Player all around the school while the Player is constantly dealing with the other characters. The mod then explains after the Player got all seven notebooks, the Player fought crazy Baldi and defeated him. The mod then says the Player exited the school to get on the bus and leave. The mod then wants to find out if the Player makes it home alive or encounters more trouble.
After This Is A Bully knocks the Player (Who’s name is revealed to be Jimmy) out, tied Jimmy, and put Jimmy in the secret hideout, This Is A Bully explains Baldi chasing Jimmy with his ruler made This Is A Bully get bored, leading This Is A Bully to think of he had Baldi’s ruler, he could have whatever power is in it. Baldi left his ruler in the office, leading to This Is A Bully to successfully steal Baldi’s ruler. This Is A Bully would then capture 1st Prize and Arts and Crafters and leave the school to look for a hiding place, where he found the hideout he was in. While Jimmy was still at school with Baldi, This Is A Bully changed the whole hideout. This Is A Bully manages to capture Principal and bring him to his hideout before he found out Jimmy escaped. Baldi goes to the secret hideout to ask the people that live here to find his ruler off screen.
After Jimmy manages to get all 10 keys, This Is A Bully considers Baldi’s ruler useless, puts on an unknown place, and tells everyone to get Jimmy. Baldi manages to reach the secret hideout and is about to ask the people that live in the secret hideout only to find This Is A Bully. Feeling confused, Baldi asks what This Is A Bully is doing at the secret hideout. Baldi then gasps when he finds his ruler, and then tells This Is A Bully he will be in big trouble when they get back to school, implying Baldi will punish This Is A bully for stealing his ruler. Baldi then finds Jimmy, and then states he will get Jimmy for defeating him despite fully knowing Jimmy didn’t take his ruler. Baldi then demands Jimmy to get over here. Baldi does not repeatedly say ruler while he is speaking, implying he either lost his craziness or did not have any moral agency issues from repeatedly saying ruler. Before Baldi starts attempting to get Jimmy again, Baldi makes an angry look at Jimmy. Baldi along with This Is A Bully, Arts and Crafters, Principal, and 1st Prize all start chasing Jimmy, attempting to get Jimmy. Jimmy would try to find a gas can for the bus, go to the entrance door to use the keys Jimmy collected on all the key holes beside the entrance door, and climb up the ladder to escape the secret hideout. Baldi, 1st Prize, Arts and Crafters, Principal, or This Is A Bully will either catch Jimmy or Jimmy would manage to escape the secret hideout.
Jimmy would walk away from the secret hideout for a while before turning around to see Baldi, This Is A Bully, and Principal. Baldi, This Is A Bully, and Principal will make one final attempt to get Jimmy while Jimmy is running to the bus. Jimmy would either get caught by Baldi, This Is A Bully, or Principal or manage to run to the bus. Jimmy would then get on Joe’s bus and leave the secret hideout. Baldi would show his frustration that he failed to get Jimmy before reminding This Is A Bully that he is still in big trouble. Bully will feel remorse for taking Baldi’s ruler and then apologizes to Baldi for stealing his ruler, saying he just wanted to have whatever power was in Baldi’s ruler. Baldi angrily tells This Is A Bully that he could have just asked and Baldi would have let him try but now that he stole it Baldi is never going to let him use the ruler again. This Is A Bully says Aw Man in response. Baldi then says they will go back to his school, only for Principal to wonder how they are going to do it if the bus isn’t here. Baldi responds by saying by guessing they would just walk back to his school. Principal responds by saying ok and they walk back to Baldi’s school along with 1st Prize and Arts and Crafters.
