Balloon Toad is a major antagonist in the Five Nights at Sonic's series.
Balloon Toad is a minor antagonist in Five Nights at Sonic's 2, a posthumous antagonist in Five Nights at Sonic's 3, the secondary antagonist of Five Nights at Sonic's: Maniac Mania and Maniac Mania Plus, and an antagonist in the upcoming game RockClones: Dr. Golden's Attack!. He is a balloon vendor animatronic of Toad.
He is voiced by Pigsty55.
Appearance[]
Balloon Toad appears identical to Classic Toad from the Super Mario Bros. franchise, with the exception for a robotic design, with various lines on his body showing where his joints separate. Balloon Toad holds a blue-striped, red balloon in his left hand, and a sign in his right hand that reads "Balloons!".
After getting vandalized by Dr. Eggman, Phantom Balloon Toad's body turns monochrome and gets either a ghost-like or burnt effect and a gray hue on him. His plastic exoskeleton on his face and his left arm is partly torn away or missing; apart from his torso being fully missing (showing black scratches from the inside of his chest), and his spine of his endoskeleton is visible (going up through his face). Red and blue wires are coming out of his mushroom and his arm. The endoskeleton of his arm, his eyebrows are exposed. Half of his black mouth shows his teeth. He lost his balloons and a sign that says "Balloons". He gains glowing-red eyes with white slits for pupils.
Biography[]
Balloon Toad was constructed as an animatronic balloon vendor at the new and improved Sonic's Hero Pizza Palace on 2017, and his role was to give out balloons to other children. During the night, Balloon Toad is located in the gaming area and is also known to steal the batteries of the night guards' flashlights.
After the location closed down, Balloon Toad was scrapped alongside Mangle tails and Luiginette. Shortly after Five Nights at Sonic's 2, Balloon Toad was previously sent to a storage unit, he was being fixed-up in good condition. In 2027, Balloon Toad was looking for Toy Sonic, Toy Mario, Toy Tails and Toy Yoshi. But they were not to be found in the Toy Stage; as he was concerned by the fact that Toy Sonic, Toy Mario, Toy Tails and Toy Yoshi weren't going to come back. However, he found the Toy Animatronics vandalized by Dr. Eggman and Mangle Tails and Luiginette's burnt and lifeless bodies, who then attacked Balloon Toad, tearing his face, hand, torso and parts of his left arm, and also was burnt with a flaming match. This releases his spirit from his body.
Later in the week, BT, alongside the other Phantom Spirits, attacked Eggman. Salvage Sonic was commanded to attack them, but he attacked Dr. Eggman instead. When Salvage Sonic was transferred to the 2027 SHPP location, the phantoms followed, haunting the location at night. When the place burned down, their spirits were set free and they moved on.
In 2030, Balloon Toad was rebuilt by Dr. Golden to assist him in his quest for world domination.
Behavior[]
Five Nights at Sonic's 2[]
Balloon Toad will begin in the gaming area, and will make his route towards the office by entering the western airvent. The player will be able to tell when he moves as he will laugh whenever he moves to a different room. The player must equip the Sonic-like mask; in order to make him go away. If the player flips the monitor up when he's in the blind spot, Balloon Toad will appear in the office and steal the player's batteries for their flashlight, preventing them from shining down the hallway and checking the left and right vents' blindspots. This leaves the player susceptible to be attacked by Withered Tails, as well as being unable to check for incoming characters in the airvents. Once he is inside the office, Balloon Toad will not leave until the clock strikes 6 AM.
Five Nights at Sonic's 3[]
Phantom Balloon Toad can occasionally appear in the cameras. The player must quickly switch to a different camera or flip down the monitor to prevent him from spawning in the office. Failure to do so will result in Phantom Balloon Toad jumpscaring the player and causing the ventilation to malfunction and draining a little bit of power.
Five Nights at Sonic's: Maniac Mania[]
Balloon Toad is the secondary antagonist of Maniac Mania, and is not a customizable character. Balloon Toad will appear in the office at 1:AM to summon a random character from his roster. If all the characters are set to 50, Balloon Toad will summon all of his roster characters at once. If everyone is set to X, Balloon Toad will appear in your office, only to jumpscare the player. There is no method to stop him if this happens.
In Lab Mode, Balloon Toad cannot summon any characters from his roster. Instead, when he appears in the office, the player must click his face, which, in turn, will make Luigi punch him in the face. The player must punch him six times to make him go away. Failure to do so will result in a Jumpscare.
Phantom Balloon Toad will perform a quick dart through the building and enter the office through the vents. Once inside, he will emit a low-pitched laugh, signalling to the player that he is prepared to perform his assault towards them. If the player equips the mask on when he arrives, he wll leave. Failure to do so will result in Phantom Balloon Toad entering the office and stealing the player's flashlight, shining it in the player's face until running out of batteries.
Roster[]
Balloon Toad summons one of these eight extra characters once per a night. It is a 1/8 chance that Balloon Toad summons a character the player wants to activate during a night. If Balloon Toad is set to 43-to-50, he will summon all of them at once per a night. In Lab Mode, he cannot be able to summon any of these characters at all.
