History[]

Murdering His Adoptive Parents[]

Jason Stryker was born to his father, William Stryker, and after his father was killed by Charles Xavier, a leader for The Mutant Brotherhood, Jason was taken as a child to be raised by Nick Fury's friends, Freddy and Marshall Turner. Jason however killed them, and he somehow teamed up with Dormammu who became his master and gave him the identity of The Baron Mordo, and he vowed to release his real father's wrath to destroy and conquer the universe.

Searching for the Three Legendary Crystals[]

Later, Baron Mordo and The Zealots try to invade the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, and they are stopped by Spider-Man. Mordo however survives Spider-Man's attacks, and teleports to a room in which Spider-Man talks to Nick Fury about the secret room which contains one of the three legendary crystals. Mordo taunts Spider-Man and Fury, telling them that Dormammu knows the secret which can actually destroy the world and let the apocalypse begin, via using Dormammu. Nick Fury reminds Mordo that he was an Avenger once, before he decided to kill his parents and betray the good side. Baron Mordo and Spider-Man combated, and Mordo disappeared during their battle. Mordo then enters Dormammu's throne room, where Dormammu appears to him as a spirit. Dormammu is proud of Mordo for finding the first crystal, but he discovers that Mordo is planning to betray him and kill him for more power. Mordo promises not to betray Dormammu.

Summoning Dormammu[]

Later, The Zealots capture Psylocke, who is now the leader of The Mutant Brotherhood, and bring her to The Zealot's lair. Mordo introduces himself, and uses his magic to take the crystal by force from Psylocke's hands. He manages to do so, however, he is forced to retreat and The Zealots are shot and killed by Nick Fury, who was called by The Hulk to help her escape. Baron Mordo later hypnotizes The Hulk, who went with Psylocke to protect the third and final crystal. Baron Mordo orders a brainwashed Hulk to kill Psylocke, so he can reach the crystal with no interference. Mordo then takes the third crystal magically out of it's place in the museum. Mordo is then confronted by Shadowcat, who is the most powerful sorcerer, alongside Mordo. Shadowcat tries to relief Mordo from his anger and evilness, and she tells him that William Stryker was using everyone for his own purposes, including him. Mordo however disagrees, and the two fight to death, until Mordo uses a dark spell to paralyze Shadowcat, and make her disappear from the universe. Shadowcat is then wiped out of existence by Mordo, as the three crystals are now combined and ready for use. Mordo then uses the power of the three legendary crystals to summon Dormammu.

Final Battle[]

Dormammu then appears in his galactic overlord and true form, and he ravages the world as he prepares it for destruction. Dormammu is able to destroy the world with one fist after 10 minutes go by. Psylocke and Spider-Man then fly a spaceship, and they both shoot Dormammu. However, Mordo uses his spell to cause Dormammu to disappear, and he invites Psylocke to challenge him on Earth. Mordo and Psylocke then prepare for battle in Dormmamu's throne room. Psylocke calls him a monster, and tells him that he can't destroy billions of people. Mordo reveals her that he, in fact, killed her grandfather. He uses his dark spell again, and this time, he reveals that only the chosen one can reverse that spell and also challenge him. Psylocke remembers how her grandfather, Dr. Mason Xavier, had told her that she is the chosen one and that she has the special ability to create and destroy anything she wants. Psylocke then uses her powers to create a better future, and reverse the spell. Psylocke's resistance causes Mordo to be eaten by his own dark powers. Therefore, Mordo dissolves and he is wiped out of existence forever.

Return[]

After being destroyed and wiped out of existence, Thanos somehow reimagines him and brings him back to life. He takes control over The Oblivions, thus commanding them and making them serve Thanos.

It is later revealed that in order to revive him and some other supervillainous terrorists, Thanos has used the help of the scientist Doctor Arnim Zola. Mordo ultimately becomes Thanos' right-hand man and develops a cold rivalry with Zola. He first appears as a hologram infront of Zola and asks him for reports about the progressing project of terror. He replies that the project is fixed up, and thereafter they start speaking to each other as rivals once again. Zola is later killed off by Thanos.

Mordo later orders the other Black Order generals to sabotage The Iron Man and bring him to Thanos. He also orders The Red Skull and Annihilus (formerly known as William Stryker) to capture Nick Fury and bring him to the Black Order's military craft so they could unleash the weapon and force Fury to see his own kind being destroyed unless he turns to the dark side. Eventually, Grandmaster and Mysterio capture The Iron Man and hand him over to Mordo, who then brings Tony to Thanos. He is eventually killed off by The Iron Man who takes control of the powers which Thanos has created in his material.

However, he is later revived again by the efforts of Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross as part of a plan to stop Doctor Faustus and later to gain information about Faustus' plans and use his ideas for other purposes. Eventually, Mordo kills Ross and ends his temporary alliance with Doctor Strange and The Avengers.

After being killed off by Carnage who led The Sinister Six, Mordo still remained alive and well. He promised to get his revenge on whoever used him or treated him wrongly. When he found a portal that led him to the DC universe, he plotted with The Joker, The Cheetah and other villains to form an alliance so they could all be respected in a world where villains are heroes and the latter are nobodies. He is seen during the film searching for the hero crystal as an act of vengeance on The Avengers and other people.

Finding the Hero Crystal[]

After forming the evil alliance against The Fantastic Knights (a merged faction of both The Avengers and The Justice League), Mordo began to search for the hero crystal, as The Joker distracted the heroes by creating bombs and planting them all around Gotham. Mordo eventually ordered his spy Albert Desemond/Doctor Alchemy to bring Ava Cross to him so he could extract from her some info about The Flash. His plans were successful, and Alchemy eventually brought Ava to Mordo's lair.

The Flash however interferes and begins to fight against Mordo and his loyalists. However, Mordo reveals to both Jason / The Flash and Ava that The Joker is now going to activate his bombs and destroy Gotham. Superman however locates The Joker and his goons first as he then kills The Joker's two thugs and as The Joker runs away with the bomb, it explodes on him and due to his masochism he remains alive and even tells Superman that it was not so funny.

Mordo eventually finds the crystal, and Psylocke fights with him as she terminates his goons, thus presumably killing them off. The Flash then arrives with Ava and other superheroes, and as they prepare to face Mordo, things get much worse than they were before. Mordo uses the crystal's power to open The Green Gate and summon Thanos. After that, Thanos' shadowy figure appears as he is on his way to exit the portal and destroy the universe. Due to the Joker's bombs, the city is then destroyed as Gotham is now wiped off the map.

Trying to Use the Hero Crystal's Powers[]

Mordo later teams up with Thanos once again, as he thought that it would help him get his revenge on The Fantastic Knights. However, things go wrong for him when he starts realizing that Thanos is using him and the entire league of villains (now called The Cult of Thanos) as pawns in order to achieve his goals. Baron Mordo was fed up with Thanos' leadership and he went to meet Thanos inside the throne room, thus telling his current master that his plans to use him are making him just as disturbing as The Fantastic Knights

Thanos out of agression and rage sends a massive laser beam towards Mordo, thus injuring him and Thanos warns him that if he shall compare him to The Fantastic Knights again, then Thanos shall kill him immediately. However, in order to manipulate Mordo and use him for further purposes, Thanos tells Mordo that he shall gain more power like he wanted if he kills The Fantastic Knights and assists his plans.

Mordo later encourages Ava Cross, Jason Cunningham, and their common friend Edgar Solomon to come with him to the DC universe so they can all defeat Thanos together, and then Mordo shall use the hero crystal powers for his next goal.

As Mordo, Jason, Edgar, and Ava come back to the DC Universe together, the four of them are attacked by the Grandmaster. However, The Iron Man intervenes and also manages to save them and defeat The Grandmaster. The Iron Man warns the kids about Mordo's dangerous plans. However, unlike Jason and Ava, Edgar ignores the warning and decides to become Mordo's close ally and henchmen.

Mordo teaches Edgar how to use dark magic, thus allowing him to transform himself into the ruthless villain leader, Zoom from the DC universe. Mordo then teams up with Loki, who agrees to show them their way to glory and assist Mordo's plans, only if they help him kill Thor.

Mordo and his team then drive a space craft to Asgard and go to fight Thanos in a cave. After Thanos is defeated, Mordo orders Zoom to give him the crystal. Zoom however surprisingly betrays Mordo, as he wants to recreate the existance by himself and become the world's dictator so people shall never mock him again in life. Zoom then recreates the universe under his image and he keeps Mordo, Flash and Ava alive and not reborn.

First Redemption[]

After the existence is reshaped by Zoom under his own image, Mordo, Jason and Ava find themselves stuck inside the new world's hologram room, which Zoom uses in order to spread his messages across his own universe. After a short argument between Mordo and Jason Cunningham, Zoom appears as a hologram and he taunts Mordo and the latter, thus revealing that the only reason why he kept them the same, just as they were in the previous universe, was because he wanted a challenge and eventually to win the three heroes inside the battleground.

As a result of Zoom's betrayal, Mordo agrees to assist them and fight with them against Zoom. However, he promised Ava and Jason that after they take care of Zoom and restore the original DC/Marvel universes, he shall hunt them down and kill them along with the other Fantastic Knights.

Mordo and Jason then go to the battleground for a mighty battle, as it was all a distraction in order to get Zoom out of his throne room while Ava goes to steal the crystals and use them in order to restore the previous reality.

Mordo and The Flash eventually discover that their opponent was a Chinese hacker and a superhuman assassin called William Harvey, aka The Silver Samurai. Flash also explained to Mordo that he is one of the strongest enemies which they have ever faced.

The Samurai tells Mordo and Jason about his own tragic backstory. Flash offers him redemption, but The Samurai at first rejects his offer. The battle begins and Loki takes part in it as he fights against his own brother, Thor. Both the samurai and Loki are defeated in the battle, and while this happens, Ava attempts to steal the crystals just before Zoom tracked her and took her as his hostage / prisoner.

After that, Baron Mordo joins Jason and Thor for a bonfire where nobody sees them, and he finally redeemed himself and made amends with Jason and the latter.

However, as he hesitates again due to his anger about the demise of his father, Thor takes him to his former abandoned house and he starts realizing that Stryker just wanted to kill him all the time, cause he was a mutant child.

Mordo then chooses good instead of evil, and just after that critical moment, Thanos reappeared as the power of the crystals revived him. Mordo tries to kill Thanos but he fails to do so, and he then asks Thanos how he came back to life. Thanos revealed that in order to kill him, Zoom must use the crystal powers as he was the new world's creator.

Final Battle Against Thanos[]

Zoom agrees to help the knights fight agaisnt Thanos, since the tyrannical lord of titans has betrayed him as well. Zoom, Thor and Mordo go to defeat the enemies and use the crystal powers. However, Thanos has tricked them into thinking that he shall guard the crystals, as in reality he was going to the throne room's direction in order to kill Jason and Ava. After Jason fought against The Samurai once again, Thanos came out of the shadows, all by surprise and he killed The Samurai for his redemption and betrayal.

After that, Thanos and Jason had a rough fight, and Thanos also revealed that Jason is the only one who could use the hero crystals in order to bring the older world back. The Flash used the crystal powers and Thanos was erased completely at that moment. Mordo then becomes one of The Avengers and a member of The Fantastic Knights, and the world starts seeing him as a hero.

Saving the Circus' Employees[]

After joining The Avengers, Mordo helps Sara Wolfe escape the circus and its villainous Ringmaster. He learns that she is not the only employee / slave there who suffers from the Ringmaster's reign of terror and his ultimate scheme to use them and gain worldwide dominance by using an Asgardian crystal.

He and Sara are later joined by Mysterio, who is stalked by The Ringmaster and his ruthless Jester. Eventually, the three of them confront The Ringmaster and learn that he is an associate and a simple pawn himself for the Order of Fenris, led by two former humans who betrayed their kind for universal conquering, Andrea and Andreas Von Strucker. The Ringmaster is killed by Mordo's powers, and Mordo along with Mysterio says goodbye to Sara and the other escaping employees of the circus of terror, thus waiting to reach The Order of Fenris and begin to fight against them.

Fighting Rasputin and Faking His Death[]

Mordo enters the Russian president's office where he confronts both Umar and Mikhail Rasputin (disguised as Mikolai Raskov). He warns them both that if they shall fight each other, he shall kill them both. As Mordo knows, if one of them is killed, the other one's spirit shall possess him/her, as they are both the children of Grigori Rasputin.

Mordo in the process bonds with Umar after a brief fight between them, and they eventually fall in love. However, Rasputin sends Loki and his right-hand man General Dreykov to capture them both. Loki succeeds in capturing them and brining them both to Mister Rasputin so he could shoot himself, and take control over Umar's body. However, since the only difference within their bloodlines was that Umar could love whilst Mister Rasputin couldn't, Mordo went to the cave just after Umar, possessed by her brother found the time stone, and Mordo then read a poem of love for her, thus separating her from Mikhail and finishing him once and for all. Mordo fakes his death as he has other plans and he teleports himself to The Multiverse, thus returning to his villainy.

Traveling to the Multiverse and Fighting With Scarlet Witch[]

Mordo then travels to the Multiverse after finding the location of another Umar, coming from the Multiverse. In order to achieve these goals and further his horrific acts of revenge on his Multiverse victims, he possesses Mordo from the Multiverse while his Umar isn't noticing. He makes the alternate Mordo go to the Multiverse's central district and destroy the alternate Captain America, Iron Man and Doctor Stephen Strange. Mordo kills them off in a horrific way and continues to wreak havoc.

Charles Xavier from the Multiverse tries to free the alternate Mordo from the mainstream Mordo's influence. However, the mainstream Mordo kills him in his vision before he could do so.

Mordo then kills Quicksilver before he chases after Scarlet Witch and Dean Xavier from the Multiverse. Mordo is knocked out when he tries to finish them. However, he eventually wakes up and catches up with the two heroes. He then pushes Scarlet Witch into a portal which lands her up inside Magnus Witch's hideout.

Mordo then rushes towards the home of the other Mordo and Umar. He aggressively pushes the alternate Mordo aside, and he tries to convince Umar to be his, thus promising to not hurt her. She runs off, and Mordo realizes how evil and atrocious he has been. Starting to cry and feel remorse and having a chance of redemption in mind, the alternate Mordo sees his stress and encourages the mainstream Mordo to do what's right and stop committing the horrible atrocities.

Mordo then reaches the Time Stone in the Multiverse and he uses its powers to save all worlds except the Multiverse, and at the cost of his own life.

Becoming the chief lieutenant of The Order of Fenris[]

Baron Mordo is later revived by Wolfgang Von Strucker, who uses him as the chief commander and lieutenant of The Order of Fenris after the defeat of his own children for the purpose of changing 5 different universes and merging them to destroy balance and show his strength.

Mordo disguises himself as The Aristocrat and gives commands to a band of supervillains including Magneto, Carnage, Dormammu and Druig. Each one of them is meant to rule one of the four universes aside from Earth/Reality. Mordo eventually has his supervillain goons capture Psylocke, Hulk and Iron Man after Dormammu and Druig kill Doctor Strange. Mordo sadistically awaits for them and then reveals them his true identity, promising them that they shall pay and that darkness is better than light as it shall win eventually.

He then comes to the supervillain team and reveals them the plan for them ruling their own dimensions with their own armies and special gifts, as in the meanwhile, The Order of Fenris shall conquer Earth and it's universe. He also implies that the 5 universes shall eventually collide and merge into one dark place. However, it is shown that his weakness is that he wants to be loved by someone, and that is why he's still evil.

Wolfgang then calls Mordo for a meeting and tells him that he must destroy Spiderman and also fight against his ally and fellow mutant sorceress, Scarlet Witch. He has feelings for her but he doesn't hesitate to complete his task. However, Wolfgang is shown to have doubt in Mordo.
