Cole Dewayne, also known as Baron Von Laser, is the main antagonist of the 2017 Terra Comics film, Firefox. He is the brother of the delusional scientist Joseph Dewayne, and the arch-nemesis of Fox Warmheart, aka Firefox.

Past[]
He and his brother, Joseph Dewayne, grew in the house of the strict adoptive father, James White. As the two brothers have learnt the secrets of their father, who tried to awaken his wife by freezing her blood, with a special healing ice which contains ultimate cold superpowers from the ancient Ice King, Cole and Joseph started using the ice to make an army of zombies, in order to get revenge on James and kill him for being a cold and faked up father. The two eventually commanded the zombies, as the swarm of zombies were let into the house. James killed most zombies but he did not survive the attack. As the zombies continued raging in the house and ruining the furniture, Cole sneaked into a room where he stole his father's armor, and hid it in his suitcase. The zombies were eventually killed by a special unit of police, which received James' secrets long before the attack, and have used the same ice in order to destroy each zombie. Cole and Joseph were eventually sent to Alcatraz, where they later escaped the jail and started living a corrupt life in San Fransisco.
Fighting Doctor Cold[]
Eventually, Cole Dewayne became Fox Warmheart's partner, as they both worked at the FBI superhero unit of The Viper Squad. Their boss, Mason McViper had ordered the two partners to join his elite unit for a mission, to stop the ice disease, caused by his mysterious brother Dr. Cold. Cole states that he can cure the disease of his brother's, however, McViper declines him and states that he does not trust any of his close relatives. Cole eventually joins The Viper Squad's elite force (including Fox, Captain Darkhood and Gormistu) for their mission. He eventually puts on his suit which he stole from James White. Fox asked him about the suit, as the crew drove a UFO, and Cole replied that his superhero identity is Baron Von Laser, and that he was once a criminal like his brother, but he decided during his jail time to move forward. He later uses its powers to destroy Joseph's army of Ice Warriors, which were once humans, until being injected by Dr. Cold with the ice disease.
They later entered Joseph/Dr. Cold's control room, where Dr. Joseph hid the plans for a massive bomb, able to turn the whole city into an Arctic underworld. Dr. Cold was secretly working with his brother, as they have both plotted revenge on those who treated them like criminals and freaks. Dr. Cold fought Fox, Gormistu, Captain Darkhood, and their new ally/Fox's girlfriend Sharptooth - real name Gaia Sharp. While The Viper Squad fought an empowered Dr. Cold, Baron Von Laser in his suit has ran off, and was called for help by Fox. Before leaving the room, he heard Fox screaming for help against Dr. Cold. He told Fox that he has an idea, and ran towards the factory room. He then put in the code, and asked his personal assistant, Ronald Graves, if the bomb is going to be ready soon. Ronald replied that the bomb will be complete within an hour or two, and that it contains the ability of The Ice King to freeze almost every piece of The California Dreamland.
Confessing his scheme[]
Baron Von Laser then sent hundreds of missile trucks to attack The Viper Squad base, in which McViper was located. Baron Von Laser later activated the freeze cannons inside the control room, and set the electronic devices of the room onto "hot-mode", in which they activate a shield against the icy blizzard. As the blizzard covered the room and froze Fox, Gormistu, Captain Darkhood and Sharptooth, the four were taken to the frozen prison, which was located inside the same building; Dr. Cold's facility. As Baron Von Laser revealed himself, he ordered the ice warrior guards to release Sharptooth, and he stated that he loves her enough to keep her hotter than the world. He put her on handcuffs, and as Baron Von Laser stood in front of Sharptooth and started kissing her mouth, she kicked his leg, causing him to jump in pain. She tried to run away, but she then fell, and the guards took her to the factory room, as Von Laser got up and started following the guards which carried Sharptooth away. McViper, who managed earlier to defeat the ice warriors and steal one of the missile trucks (as he had destroyed all the rest of the trucks with his army of superheroes and Viper militants), has managed to enter the facility, destroy every guard which tried to stop him, and then rescue Fox, Darkhood and Gormistu with a flamethrower, which has burnt and destroyed the bars. The three escaped and made their way with McViper into the factory. As they fought the guards, Von Laser has taken Sharptooth to the rooftop, where he pushed Sharptooth into a helicopter. He then took control of the helicopter and started driving it towards the army base, where a chemical facility was occupied by his mercenary, General Geoffery Armstrong. As he arrived with his hostage, Sharptooth, he and General Armstrong have shot Supreme Commander Kronson to death. He ordered Armstrong and the soldiers (which were now commanded by Armstrong, second in command of the base) to prepare the bomb. Sharptooth asked Baron Von Laser why he is doing this. Von Laser reveals that he has been arrested with his brother Doctor Cold, and that the two have escaped and have hacked into each file which reveals their acts of crime. He reveals that he had only been a member of The Viper Squad in order to spy after their plans to destroy Doctor Cold, and that he had now sent the plans for their antifreeze weaponry to Dr. Cold himself. As she furiously asked him why to take her as a hostage if he can destroy her, Baron Von Laser tells her that she is the girl he always dreamt about, and that he won't harm her as long as she does not fight back.
Final Battle in San Francisco[]
Dr. Cold then launches a massive attack on the city, as the ice warriors started killing the citizens and causing lots of panic and destruction. The Viper militants tried to fight the ice warriors, however, they were too weak for the raging monstrous humanoids. The ice monsters have eventually managed to make their way into the city hall, and kill Mayor James Rolph. The bomb was loaded into a truck by the army force, and General Armstrong drove it into the city center. Fox, McViper, Darkhood and Gormistu have driven the missile truck into the city center, and have bombed lots of ice monsters. Doctor Cold and Baron Von Laser watched the battle from a tower. Baron Von Laser congratulated Doctor Cold for the work he had done, and told him that now they only have to finish their business with Fox and the rest. Fox then unleashed his Ultra Firefox form and killed off the ice warriors. As he returned to his regular Firefox form, and killed the last two warriors, the bomb was set for two minutes. General Armstrong exited the car, and Baron Von Laser exited the tower's main gate, and confronted Fox and the crew. Baron Von Laser told Fox that a real duel needs to be done between old friends, now archenemies. Fox agreed. Sharptooth was meanwhile kept hostage by Doctor Cold. McViper went up the tower, fought the soldiers off and threw a knife onto Sharptooth's handcuffs, thus releasing her from the hostage situation. Sharptooth and McViper fought Dr. Cold. In the middle of the fight, Cold froze McViper, and used his blizzard biome to push Sharptooth off the roof. As Firefox battled the enraged Von Laser, he suddenly saw Sharptooth falling off the roof. However, McViper broke the ice which held him, and used another blade to backstab Doctor Cold to death. Fox used his firepowers to warm Sharptooth's body, and kissed her while doing so. Sharptooth ultimately got up, and started fighting Von Laser with Fox. While the fight continues to rage, Darkhood and Gormistu deactivate the bomb, a second before it exploded. An extremely furious and steady Baron Von Laser unleashed a megafire laser biome on Firefox, whom blocked Von Laser's attack with a lava shield. Eventually, the lava shield was broken, and Fox fell down on the floor, due to his lack of physical strength. An injured Firefox was trying to get up, but was held on the neck by Baron Von Laser. Sharptooth tried to stop him, however, she was shot by General Armstrong. McViper then killed General Armstrong, and told the enraged Von Laser that it's over. Von Laser however started chocking Fox even harder. Fox however unleashed his Phoenix form, and started throwing many fireballs at Von Laser. While Von Laser blocked the attacks, Sharptooth struggled her way forward, and when she managed to crawl towards Von Laser's legs, she got up and backstabbed him. Fox then held his chest and unleashed all his powers to destroy him. After the death of Baron Von Laser, Sharptooth and Fox were taken to hospital.
