Bartemius "Barty" Crouch, Jr. (gone undercover as Dark Wizard hunter Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody) is a minor antagonist in A Very Potter Senior Year, the third and final instalment of the A Very Potter Musical trilogy made by Starkid.
He is a manipulative scoundrel and a member of the infamous group known as the Death Eaters who disguises himself as a deceased Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher known as Alastor “Mad Eye” Moody, so that he could manipulate Harry and his friends into giving him Tom Riddle’s diary, so that he could revive him. He appears right after the battle against Fefnir Greyback.
He is portrayed by Chris Allen, who also portrayed Thomas Riddle Sr. in the same musical.
Personality[]
Barty Crouch initially portrays himself as a trustworthy, charismatic, helpful and friendly Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher who is willing to help Harry and his friends in any situation they are in. Though this is only a facade to hide his true colours, of which he is a manipulative, sleazy, wrathful and downright sadistic fanatic, who only cares about himself and his fellow Death Eaters only.
He is shown to be incredibly disrespectful and insensitive, as he disguises himself as a deceased wizard who died years ago. He is also seems to be a sore loser, as when his disguise is removed, he takes the chief of the wizard cops, Kingsley Shacklebolt, hostage, forcing everyone to drop their weapons and threatening to escape with him, making him somewhat of a coward as well.
