Baruch is the boss of the Plague Fortress, the fourth dungeon in Lost Isle.
Appearance[]
When Baruch first appears, he dons a brown ragged robe with his robotic fingers and eye visible.
When confronted as the boss of the Plague Fortress, Baruch casts the robe aside to reveal that he is a slender cycloptic robot with a red abdomen, wires in place of legs and wires on the back of his head.
Personality[]
Baruch is a loyal follower of Morlach aiming to gain the demon's favor, ordering some robotic Amos to stop an a failed attempt to attain glory and was in disbelief to lose to Link.
Skills and Abilities[]
Baruch happens to hold some sort of authority within Morlach's ranks, possibly his right hand man. He can weaponize a room by activating the embedded weapons and can launch fireballs himself.
Biography[]
When the Plague Fortress was constructed as part of Morlach's conquest during his massacre of the islanders, Baruch was created to be one of his followers.
When Link enters the Plague Fortress, he hides behind a massive diode when he overhears Baruch talking with Morlach who is furious at him for an oversight they have made and orders them to set up remote cameras over the factory so he can see what's going on.
Morlach is especially enraged that they did not set the cameras sooner as Link has been making prowess after washing ashore such as besting other officers in charge.
Morlach wanted feedback as he was getting close to having the last barrier he was trapped in broken and gave his cronies the order not to let Link leave.
After Morlach vanishes, Link was nearly spotted by Baruch before the latter leaves with his cronies.
When Link destroys a security droid, he is confronted by Baruch who is in disbelief that Link is no ordinary intruder and is a serious threat to Morlach's plans of breaking out and breaking hell loose on the world.
Baruch reveals that Link must return to the fortress in order to advance in his "Little adventure", vowing to kill him for his interference before leaving.
When Link is confronted by robotic Amos, Baruch orders them to stop as he wanted Morlach to see his worth by killing Link.
It is here that Link learns that Baruch is a robot who proclaimed himself as the finest technology made by the fortress and tries to kill Link then and there to test his (Baruch's) abilities.
The battle begins when Baruch summons a robotic Patra. After Link bests it, Baruch sets the floor to heat up in various spots in an attempt to kill Link who manages to trigger a weak point in a specific wall. After Link repeats this several more times with Baruch launching fireballs around the end, the robot ends up being destroyed.
