Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman, is one of the main antagonists on The Arkham Tapes webseries by The Batfeed.
Appearance[]
It hasn't been revealed what Bruce looked like in his civilian attire, or what his batsuit looked like before his change.
As the monstrous batman, he is in a black uniform, with a black cape, a black cowl with long point ears, and black gloves with silver gauntlets on his hands. His skins appears more Ghoulish, with sharp fangs and glowing red eyes (however his profile shows him with silver dollar like eyes).
Personality[]
It is currently not known what Bruce's personality was before his turn to evil, however, he appears to have been a man who had noble goals of protecting Gotham from crime to the best of his ability, despite how extreme his methods could be.
After the Arkham Manor incident, Bruce became more disturbed, and began using more extreme methods against the criminals he fought, even killing them. It got too the point that he began alienating all of his friends and allies, who later joined the M.O.P.A. to stop his violent reign of terror. He also was more than willing to kill his long time friend James Gordon, showing how far off the deep end in terms of morality he has gone.
Biography[]
Early career[]
As a child, Bruce's parents Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed. This sparked a desire to fight the criminal element that plagued Gotham City.
At first, Bruce began his vigilante crusade against evil and to protect the people of Gotham, while using his public life as CEO of Wayne Enterprises as a cover for his activities. Aided by his loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth, and his loyal sidekicks, such as Robin and Red Hood, Batman became the most notorious figure in Gotham. In 1989, Batman attempted to apprehend the Riddler during an arcane style ritual he was performing, it supposedly resulted in Riddler ending up in a catatonic state, and he was confined to Arkham Asylum. In early 1993, he would be sought out for questioning after a spring of murders in the Narrows at the hands of a mysterious bat-like creature. Though he would later catch the real culprit, Kirk Langstrom, a doctor at Wayne Enterprises who had attempted to create a cure for deafness using the blood of a vampire bat and Batman's enemy Killer Croc, but ended up transforming into a human-bat creature.
Arkham Manor Incident[]
In 1993, Arkham Asylum was closed after numerous incidents, and all the patients were relocated to a new facility in Arkham Manor under Dr. Jeremiah Arkham's supervision. Not long after its opening, Batman's nemesis, The Joker, instigated a takeover of the asylum with the help of other high level inmates. Batman was coerced into entering the asylum after a haunting phone call where Joker threatened the life of an innocent young woman at the asylum. After arriving, Batman encounter the likes of Clayface and Killer Croc in the halls, and Scarecrow in the gardens. Its unknown what else happened, as he deleted the rest of his suit cam footage, though it did end with all the inmates being recaptured.
However, the Incident had a profound impact on Bruce. the Horrors he faced that night in the Manor had led Bruce to consider a more extreme idea, to take the strengths of all his enemies, such as Joker's madness, Croc's ferocity and hunger, Scarecrow's fear gas, Clayface's sickness, and Man-Bat's ghastly murder spree, to transform the Batman into something worse, using bionic enhancements, and injecting himself with a modified version of Man-Bat's formula. The more enhancements he made to himself, the less his allies began to recognize him anymore. It got to the point that some hesitated to even call him human anymore.
Reign of Terror[]
Horrified by his employers dark change, Alfred met with Bruce's longtime friend James Gordon at what he presumed to be a G.C.P.D. building, where he testified against Bruce, telling Jim the truth that he was Batman, and he had been using enhancements on himself to turn himself into what he is now, while also showing Jim the four saved suit cam recordings from the Arkham Manor incident. Gordon then radioed in for Alfred to be moved to a holding cell, while also revealing the building was in actuality a facility of the M.O.P.A., a mysterious organization that he is a member of, something Alfred didn't take kindly to.
Batman would later track Gordon and his men to their facility. Killing most of the officers, and attacking Gordon, though he would survive. He would then be labelled Public Enemy #1 on the M.O.P.A.'s watch list, and continued his brutal ways, now killing criminals. His new terrifying reputation would cause criminals to fear Batman more than ever. His turn to evil would lead to his allies being ostracized from his crusade, causing them to join the M.O.P.A. in their investigation into him.
