Battle Droids are a group of recurring antagonists in the Character What series, and villains from the Star Wars franchise. They are remote-controlled robots created by the Trade Federation that are designed for sort of militaries, and they serve as henchmen for Shadow Aaron.
Character What: Tales[]
In Beast of the Museum, several inactive Battle Droids variants, such as security, pilot, commander, firefighter and rocket appeared as exhibits in Shadow Joe's Villain Criminology Museum where he was touring Twilight Sparkle throughout the museum. Shadow Joe revealed that he has been scavenging several Battle Droids that been disabled or dispose of during the Clone Wars and decided to place them in his museum for display and could help people learn more about them.
Character What: Hero Force[]
When Shadow Aaron brought the Mace Six to his spaceship, three Battle Droids inform him about the Droid Army's failure to take over Shadow Joe's base, due the patron of Clone Troopers preventing them from entering the base. In response, Shadow Aaron electrocute one of the droids and ordered two Cybermen to take other two droids away to be use for spare parts, much to their horror.
Character What: New Hope[]
In Friendship United, when Shadow Joe was aboard Shadow Aaron's intergalactic spaceship to rescue Webby Vanderquack from being killed by Shadow Aaron using the Scream Extractor, some Battle Droids, Cybermen, DNAliens, Ninja Khan, Stormtroopers, Geonosians, and Daleks attempts to prevent from making it to bridge, so Shadow Joe engaged the Battle Droids and the other security forces to a fight before swirly making his way to save Webby.
Character What: Chronicles[]
In Fawn in the Empire, after learning from the Stormtroopers that Bambi was onboard Shadow Aaron's spaceship, Shadow Aaron send out a patron of Battle Droids to capture Bambi, but the droids failed to capture Bambi as the young fawn managed to escape without getting shot down.
In Blinky Bill Meets Shadow Aaron, Shadow Joe along with Dawn, Twilight Sparkle and Bambi fought some Battle Droid on a uninhabited island and set their computer to self-destruct to destroy the island and the Battle Droids with it, and Shadow Joe and his team made their escape before the island exploded.
In New Look, when Twilight Sparkle (as Nutsy from Blinky Bill) remove the anti-collar on Shadow Joe while Dawn (as Tinker Bell) and Bambi (as RC from Toy Story) distract Shadow Aaron, he summons and ordered the some Battle Droids along the Daleks, Ninja Khan, Cybermen and Stormtroopers to destroy Shadow Joe's teammates, but Shadow Joe transform Twilight into the Hulk, Bambi into Iron Man and Dawn into Groot to fight off the Daleks along with Shadow Aaron's other henchmen.
In You're My Slave, several Battle Droids were seen in the launch bay when Shadow Aaron prepares to order the Ninja Khan to throw the Beagle Babes into the vacuum of space, as punishment for attempting to save Webby Vanderquack from being forced into slavery. Fortunately, Shadow Joe along with Ben Tennyson, and Huey, Dewey and Louie arrives onboard the spaceship to rescue Webby and saved Beagle Babes from their fate, the Battle Droids and Ninja Khan begun fighting Shadow Joe and his team. Most of the Battle Droids was destroyed by Shadow Joe while some of them were destroyed by Ben using Juryrigg to dismantle the droids in a matter of seconds.
Character What: Villains Revenge[]
In The Return: Part 2, when Shadow Aaron and most of villains make their way into Shadow Joe's base and engaged the heroes inside to a battle, but the heroes gained the upper hand over the villains. During the course of battle, most of the Battle Droids focus their attacks on Shadow Joe, but Shadow Joe cut a few of the droids down before sending a Droideka rolling toward three Battle Droids and knock them down like bowling pins.
In Shadow Aaron's Rate, Shadow Aaron lead some Battle Droids along with some villains on a ruthless campaign for Twilight Sparkle, rounding up almost everypony who knows her into captivity. Later, when Shadow Aaron ordered Kevin Levin to burned down a house fill with ponies in Sweet Acorn Orchard after they explain to him that they had heard of Twilight Sparkle, but never met her, However, Kevin refuses so Shadow Aaron burned the house instead, but Kevin burst into blazing house and rescued the ponies from harmed. Kevin tries to escape by stealing Shadow Aaron's skeletal horse to avoid punishment for his betrayal, but was shoot down by one of the Battle Droids and fall into the river. After believing Kevin was dead, Shadow Aaron orders the Battle Droids along with the villains continue with searching for Twilight Sparkle, unaware that Kevin was survive the shot and was rescued by Twilight's friends; Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.
Character What: Friendship is Magic[]
The Battle Droids play a more minor role in this series, only appearing four episodes of season 4. Unlike the pervious shows in the main series, they look like their Star Wars: Rebels designs instead of their clone wars design or live-action design.
In Betrayal of the Daleks, after the Daleks exterminated some villains in Shadow Aaron's empire, he send out a detachment of Battle Droids, Stormtroopers, Cybermen and Sontarans to destroy the Daleks for their betrayal, but them had no match for Daleks so the Battle Droids along with the Stormtroopers along Cybermen and Sontarans were all exterminated.
Character What: The Last Stand[]
In Shaun Miss Shadow Joe, Battle Droids return when they invade the farm that Shaun and his friends live, but Dawn commands her Buneary use Ice Beam to freeze several Battle Droids in ice, Ben Tennyson transform into Lodestar to use his magnetic powers against them, and Twilight Sparkle blasted several Battle Droids with her magic. When the Commander Droid realized that they are out match, he ordered the remaining to retreat. Strangely, this episode, they retain their clone wars design.
In Villains Turn Evil. several variants of Battle Droid exhibits, such as security, pilot, commander, firefighter and rocket appeared appeared again in Shadow Joe's Villain Criminology Museum when he can touring many reformed villains throughout his museum.
Character What: The Return of the Shadow Creature[]
The droids make their last appearance in the series finale film, when General Grievous send a patron of Battle Droids to attack Shadow Aaron for his betrayal and killing Davros, but they were easily destroyed by him and the master, Grievous, soon suffered the same fate as his following droids.
