What.. is this? What kind of.. monstrosity am I? This planet, it feels familiar. Yes. And you, I.. I know you. Megatron! And this world.. this was my home. Cybertron is my home! But how can that be?
~ Megatron's first words
Predacons, terrorize!
~ Megatron's iconic catchphrase

Megatron is the secondary antagonist of the Transformers Interstellar sub-series, serving as the main antagonist of Transformers Interstellar: Return to Earth, and is set to return in Transformers Interstellar: Beast Wars.

He is a revived T-Rex from the Cretaceous period and appoints himself as the leader of the Predacons in honor of the original Megatron. He initially portrays himself as a charismatic individual to the Maximals, but displays his genocidal intentions near the end of the film. He is voiced by Crosshairs Productions.

Personality[]

This Megatron is far more outright evil than his official counterpart, but his superiority complex and charisma is still present. From his first moment of consciousness, he has obtained a selfish personality, and believes that he is worthy of greatness and leadership. He is also very intelligent, as eviden by his ability to recruit others to his side, and deceive his enemies.

History[]

Rebirth[]

During the end of the Cretaceous period, a Tyranosaurus Rex witnessed the extinction of the Dinosaurs, and would be revived by the power of the Matrix of the Primes sixty five million years later. His fossils are converted into a Cybertronian hybrid of organic and metallic materials. He transforms into his robot mode and has visions of Megatron, the Cybertronian War, and even his first death. A velociraptor also gets revived, and refers to himself as dinobot. Dinobot calls him out for his insistence that the original Megatron gave him his leadership status, and declaims that he is not beneath him.

More Like Him[]

The two would eventually hear a loud noise, and would encounter a Cybertronian Wasp named Waspinator trapped in a web. Megatron explains that there needs to be a form of hierarchy. Waspinator initially expressed confusion, which amused Megatron. He simply states that he is now his leader, but Waspinator refuses and just wants to be freed from a Cybertronian spider. The Spider transforms, and begs Megatron to take Waspinator away or kill him. Megatron proposes the idea that she and Waspinator should join him. Eventually, they come across a Cybertronian named Scorponok, who is being attacked by a Sky Lynx drone. Megatron makes a comment on how underwhelming everyone he encounters is before ordering his team to destroy the creature. But once the Maximals arrive, it begins to act passive towards the others. But Megatron executes it anyways. When discussing what they could be, Megatron deduces that they were designed to kill the Predacons and Maximals, but the others believed that the humans are harmless. Rhinox realized that the drones are landing by monuments, and rewired the deactivated drone to fly to one of them. AirRazor leaves to follow it while the rest stay behind.

True Intentions[]

Megatron speaks with Optimus Primal about their future and admires his leadership, despite the latter not seeing the potential. The drone uncovers Crosscut’s ship, and they decide to leave Earth. They uncovered Grimlock’s corpse and learned that it was powering the electricity of the ship, which horrified the team. While the team repairs the ship, Megatron expresses joy towards the fact that their teams are working together, and wishes to meet with the humans to make sure they were all safe. When Dinobot was done with wiring, Megatron asks for his perspective. He didn’t have the hear to tell Primal that he wishes to extinguish all of humanity because of what they have done to Earth. When CrossCut’s drone Clutch broadcasts Megatron to the Autobots, Primal confronts his former ally, and Megatron executes both Clutch and AirRazor for destroying the ship. He commands his Predacons to attack the Maximals, and was able to force them to retreat. Megatron declares that Optimus is no longer his brother, and that the Predacon uprising has begun.
