~ Bendy before obliterating an Inkling

Bendy is a reoccuring protagonist/antagonist in AnimationRewind's Cartoon Fight Club series.

He is one of the main poster boys and is notorious for his infamously high amount of losses during his early appearances. He originates from Indie Horror game Bendy and the Ink Machine.

Origins[]

Bendy's backstory is very similar to his original counterpart, as he was the mascot of Joey Drew's Studio and the star of its cartoons. While unknown how exactly, Bendy was brought to life via the Ink Machine, but lacked a soul and couldn't talk, as well as being horribly deformed. Despite his creepy nature, he was benevolent and harmless, merely wandering the studio with some sort of animalistic curiosity to its employees. Due to his frightening appearance rendering him unfit for being an attraction, Joey locked Bendy up in the deepest depths of the Studio, causing Bendy to go insane and violent. After a certain incident, Bendy took over the Studio by force and terrorizes the former Studio employees turned ink creatures as a demon to be feared by all. To this day Bendy rules over the abandoned building with an iron fist.

The main difference between the original and this version is that this Bendy eventually gained full sentience and became the perfect creation of the Ink Machine like Joey intended, however his insanity from his past as well as still lacking a soul, he's still as violent and brutish as the original.

Appearance[]

Due to his powers, Bendy can shapeshift and take any form he desires, but he has three main forms he uses. The first is his Cartoon appearance. In this form he has a black body, black limbs with white gloves, black boots, a white bowtie, two horns, pie shaped eyes and his trademark mischievous smile. In some episodes he is animated with a tail.

In his Ink Demon form, Bendy is tall and thin, ink covers his eyes, his horns are longer, his white bowtie is damaged, he is missing a glove on his right hand. On his back are Xenomorph-like spines and he doesn't seem to be wearing boots. This is the form he mainly uses in-battle

In his Beast form, Bendy ditches any semblance of his cartoon self, being a large black creature with razor sharp teeth, no eyes, long horns, sharper spines, thin legs and long arms with sharp claws at their ends.

Personality[]

Bendy's personality varies among animators, but throughout the series he is incredibly mischievous and daredevilish, often getting up to tons of trickery with a cheeky grin on his face. However, he also is very cunning and manipulative, his manners are sophisticated and polite, he's skilled in fighting and strategies, and he's also very deceptive. Even though he's mostly like his Cartoon self, the monster within is not gone, as Bendy is indisputably cruel and violent, tearing his opponents to shreds and blowing them to smithereens with minimal remorse. He is not above harming children and is an extremely destructive force, especially in his stronger forms.

That said he is no without his standards, as Bendy is genuinely well-mannered to even his opponents. He also has a sense of honor and has been known to keep people alive for both altruistic reasons and pragmatic reasons.

Powers[]

  • Nigh-Immortality: Bendy is almost completely immortal, with his only known weakness being the End Reel or certain chemical reactions of his ink. Earlier in the series a way to defeat Bendy is to turn off or destroy the Ink Machine, however this weakness is less used in later episodes as it has been revealed Bendy can still survive if the Ink Machine is destroyed.
  • Ink Manipulation: Bendy's main power is his control over ink. He can spread ink all over the battlefield, he can cause spikes and tentacles to come out of ink puddles, he can effortless transition between a gas state, a liquid state and a solid state. Another thing Bendy is capable of is creating weapons and tools out of Ink. These Ink weapons, despite their composition, function exactly like their intended usages, sometimes even functioning more effectively. In the Studio, where there is Ink EVERYWHERE, Bendy practically has complete control over the battlefield.
  • Regeneration: Bendy is almost impossible to defeat via physical means as he can recover from even the most destructive blows quickly and with ease. If Bendy is reduced to nothing but an ink droplet, he will quickly regenerate back to his full form.
  • Shapeshifting: Being able to manipulate ink, Bendy is capable of changing his form at will, often by extending his limbs, growing in size, forming his fist into a wrecking ball or disguising himself as a normal ink puddle.
  • Teleportation: Bendy is capable of teleporting via creating portals out of ink. In the original game he uses this power to go anywhere he desires within the studio, in this series however he also uses the power to sneak up on his opponents, dodge attacks or prepare attacks.
  • Weapon Use: Bendy is skilled in using weapons he makes out of ink, and is known to be able to use axes, operate fire-arms and sometimes even bombs, all of which made out of ink.
  • Intelligence: Bendy is several decades old, and has a lot of fighting experience as well as wisdom in general. He takes advantage of any opportunity he gets
  • Superhuman Speed: Bendy has a virtually unlimited amount of stamina and can run at very fast speeds. AnimationRewind says he is capable of dodging bullets, making him capable of travelling faster than the speed of sound.
  • Superhuman Strength: Combined with his agility, Bendy is very powerful in terms of physical strength, estimated as above building level and possibly entire city level.
  • Ability to create living entities out of ink: Bendy's ink manipulation extends further from perfect weapon replicas, as he is capable of making creatures from Ink puddles he commands in battle as an army. This bypasses the 'no outside help' rule when it is inplace due to the fact the creatures are an extension of himself.

History in the Series[]

Bendy's starting days were harsh ones, with scarce wins and overwhelming amounts of losses. He was pitted against Sans, Bill Cipher, Mickey, Doodlebob, Gumball.exe, Sonic.exe, Goku Black and many more, loosing time and time again. All his enemies either outwitted him, were significantly stronger, destroyed him or erased him from existence in each and every fight. This happened so much so that fans of the series began begging for AnimationRewind to take pity on Bendy and let him win for once.

Bendy's time to shine came however, as when Chapter 3 of his original game released the series had more feats and abilities to work with, and eventually he began winning tons of battles. And he did it in style, with episodes featuring him being one of the more popular kinds of episodes. Some of his victories include:

  • Against Inkling Boy: When the Blue Inkling Boy entered the studio, Bendy greeted them and entered combat. Bendy began fighting by summoning three Ink creatures and sending them after the boy, but the boy shot Bendy, covering his face in blue ink. When Inkling Boy finished taking care of Bendy's ink army, it is shown Bendy took the opportunity to absorb the blue ink and transformed into a massive, blue version of his Ink Demon form. He politely bids the Inkling Boy goodbye, saying he appreciated their time at the studio, before smashing them to bits with his fist.
  • Against Mama Tattletail: Bendy fought Mama Tattletail who tried to bite him to death. Bendy's composition as a liquid prevented him from loosing, and before you know it Mama Tattletail is shattered on the floor in pieces
  • Rematch against Doodlebob: Bendy rematched against Doodlebob in a Library with books, but was also put at risk as the Ink Machine was in the same room, and it being destroyed would give him a huge disadvantage. However, Bendy outsmarted Doodlebob by tricking him before slamming him into a book.
  • Indie Horror vs Creepypasta total war: Bendy participated in the Indie Horror vs Creepypasta total war on the side of Indie Horror. Thanks to the SCPs, team Indie Horror won.
  • Against Freddy Fazbear: Bendy entered Freddy Fazbear's Entertainment and fought against Freddy. The resulting brawl was long but in the end Bendy destroyed Freddy's body through his ink. In another battle Bendy sided with Alice Angel and Boris the Wolf to go against Freddy, Bonnie and Chica, and team Bendy emerged victorious again.
  • Against the Neighbour: Bendy entered the Neighbour's 'house' and engaged in battle. While the Neighbour was indeed pretty skilled in the fight, Bendy's previous experience of chasing down and maiming mortal humans allowed him to emerge on top.
  • Against Baldi: Bendy entered Baldi's school and had a showdown with Baldi. Eventually he catches Baldi using Ink tentacles and then proceeds to rip Baldi in two.
  • Against Lancer: Lancer enters Bendy's studio and fights Bendy. While Bendy held back at first, but when his house was destroyed by Lancer he then proceeded to go beastmode and utterly decimate the dark prince.

Trivia[]

  • Bendy has at least 19 losses and 11 wins. Most of his losses were before the release of Chapter 3, and most of his wins were after the release of Chapter 3.
  • It's unknown why Bendy learned to turn into his cartoon self and gain sentience instead of remaining a mindless animal as the series doesn't focus on his backstory.
  • One of Bendy's themes in the pre-analysis is an electro-swing remix of Asgore's theme from Undertale.
  • Bendy is one of the most popular characters in the series, although not as popular as Sans or Bill Cipher.
