Lord Betelgeuse is one of the two secondary antagonists (Alongside The Crooked Man) of the animated series Morning Star. He is the leader of the wrath empire and an interstellar tyrant, he serves as the Overarching Antagonist of Chapter 6, and the Main Antagonist of Chapter 7
Appearance[]
Betelgeuse appears as a tall demon-like figure and was described as such, his head has 2 large black horns on it, and has a skull like appearance, his head is covered by a large orange like flame, and he wears and has spikes on his shoulders. He wears a cape that is made entirely out of flames, his skin is that of a grey-red colour and he wears a black toga and black pants, very similar to the greek god zeus
Personality[]
Betelgeuse is a wrathful being, as he often speaks in a loud and irritated manner, often yelling at other and insulting them, though it should be noted that despite his angry manner of speaking, Betelgeuse is actually considered to be a great leader by his followers, and is a great strategist and war planner, seeing as how he presumably was able to invade entire plants whitin the manner of a few minutes.
Betelgeuse is also a genius, who was able to figure out how to create the first artificial black hole generator in the galaxy, and has been regarded as one of the smartest beings in the entire universe, although despite this he ultimately uses his resources and intelligence not for good or for improvement, but for selfish reasons, instead of being a lead innovator he choses to be a brutal tyrant
Biography[]
Chapter 6[]
During the end credits of chapter 6, it is shown that Betelgeuse has begun working on the star reactor, an artificial black hole generator. Betelgeuse plans to use it to create a black and absorb its powers, which would allow him to now only create blackholes, but to destroy entire galaxies whitin seconds
Chapter 7[]
In Chapter 7, Lucifer uses the portal found in Dutch's grave to travel to the Star Reactor, upon arriving Lucifer hears a speech given by Betelgeuse, and hears his supporters cheering for him. Lucifer manages to figure that Betelgeuse holds the Wrath Key, and prepares to find the key, and to leave before he is noticed. In the next scene with Betelgeuse, he could be seen creating large lava titans as avatars to use as a means to build the reactor faster, Betelgeuse could be seen in the distance creating the titans with a staff. In the next scene, Lucifer attempts to steal one of the vehicles in the area, however Betelgeuse notices him though one of his titans, Betelgeuse confuses Lucifer for a spy, and tells him that "his kind" has already lost, and attempts to kill him using the titan, although he manages to cause injuries to lucifer, lucifer managed to create a smoke using materials he found, causing a temporary distraction and escaping by going into the underground area, realizing that lucifer managed to escape betelgeuse announces that he had found a "spy and announces the description of lucifer's appearance, as well as ordering the security to kill him instantly.
After the security manages to find lucifer and capture him for a time, betelgeuse is informed by the head of security and orders them to bring lucifer to him, due to the security's transpiration system, lucifer manages to get away halfway though, and manages to find the core of the reactor using the ventilation system, and manages to find the wrath key, betelgeuse upon seeing this event tells the security that he will finish lucifer off, and uses his reality alter powers to quickly arrive at the core. After his arrival, betelgeuse tells lucifer that he plans to use the reactor to destroy rival galaxies using black holes, and tells lucifer that he is too late, as well as telling him that he wont be able save his leaders. Lucifer at this point was very much confused, and tells betelgeuse that it is a misunderstanding, and that he is not a spy nor is he working for betelgeuses rivals. Betelgeuse upon hearing this asks lucifer a list of question, after lucifer had answered them betelgeuse realizes that lucifer is indeed not a spy, however he decides against letting him go, as he sees lucifer as a threat to his plans.
Betelgeuse after this transports both himself and lucifer into an area somewhere in the supply dock, and grabs his staff to and uses it a summon another lava titan, this one being much larger and stronger than the others. After this the creates a tall power, and transports himself on top of it, after taking control of the lava titan, betelgeuse attempts to kill lucifer, causing massive amounts of damage in the processes, lucifer upon realizing that he wont be able to win the fight attempts to destroy betelgeuse's staff, thinking that it would stop his control of the golemn and distract him. Upon fighting with the golemn, lucifer jumps on top of it and charges up a light beat, eventually he manages to fire his beam, knocking betelgeuse's staff out of his hands and into the lava where it burns up. After accomplishing it, lucifer gets off the golemn quickly and beguns to look for a way to escape. After the staff is completely destroyed, the golemn gains sentience and starts to destroy the area, eventually the golemn and betelgeuse get into a fight, lucifer sees this as his only chance to escape the star and notices a helicopter, lucifer would then use the helicopter to attempt to escape, and manages to get back to his portal.
Upon activating the portal, lucifer prepares to go inside, however betelgeuse appears and reveals that he had destroyed the rouge golemn. Betelgeuse then prepares a fire beam, telling lucifer that his fate is sealed, however lucifer manages to get away at the last second, and manages to close the porta and having taken the wrath key.
