Bill Cipher is the titular main antagonist of the DEATH BATTLE episode, "Bill Cipher VS Discord". Nearly identical to his canon counterpart, he is a dream demon bent on unleashing his world onto another world, this time settling on Equestria, but also stalking Wizard and Boomstick, as well as the other combatants, throughout the season. He is also Discord's arch nemesis.
He was voiced by John Patneaude.
Personality[]
Bill's personality is near identical to how it is in Gravity Falls. He is a sadistic and intelligent being, but also one of humor and charisma. However, due to the rules of DEATH BATTLE, Bill does not hold back as much in his battle, making him even more murderous.
History[]
Bill Cipher and Discord's battle was one of the battles that the fans voted to see in Season 10. Throughout the Season, in Phoenix VS Raven, Guts VS Dimitri, and Martian Manhunter VS Silver Surfer, Bill made cameos with Discord, looking over the events. However, while Discord was doing it playfully (because Bill was there in the first place), Bill seemed to do it with the intention to learn about the world, essentially stalking over the events.
Sometime before Bill Cipher VS Discord, Wiz talked to Bill and presumably made a deal with him, leading him to be possessed by Bill. Bill reveals to Boomstick and the audience that he has been watching over everything through his previous cameos. Boomstick eventually knocks Bill out of Wiz.
Later in the fight, it is shown that Bill has unleashed and taken over Equestria with Weirdmageddon, having also defeated the princesses and the Mane 6. He is seen transmuting a pony into stone for his throne, while talking to, and taunting Discord, who was intending to save everyone. Discord starts by throwing flaming pies at Bill, which starts their fight. As the two beings exit the Fearamid, Bill is crushed by Discord's colossal desserts. After a wacky scuffle, Bill is turned into a Dorito and is eaten by Discord. He survives, but the two then fight into a Weirdness Bubble, where they are brought to several animation styles.
Eventually, the two are seemingly brought back to Equestria, where Discord declares them at a stalemate. Bill destroys Discord's physical form, but his spirit enters Bill's mind, where he attempts to erase Bill like how he died in Gravity Falls. However, due to Bill not being in the tunnel-visioned mindset that got him erased, Bill was able to resist it and pull Discord back to reality, where he proceeds to burn his spirit. Discord, however, reveals that he sent Bill back to the Nightmare Realm and restore Equestria, to his horror. Bill tries to fly towards and enter the rift but is too late as it is collapsing in on itself, leaving the dream demon trapped in the Nightmare Realm once more. With one last laugh, Discord is crushed by Bill's hand, allowing Bill to claim his pyrrhic victory. Bill, attempting to cope with the loss of his rule over Equestria, tries to get a deal with the viewer.
At the end of the episode, Bill angrily threatens Wiz and Boomstick to let him out of the Nightmare Realm, evidently still angry over his loss.

- Ironically, his Cartoon Fight Club counterpart defeated Discord by unleashing Weirdmageddon, whereas in DEATH BATTLE, Weirdmageddon was already unleashed before the battle started, meaning Discord was more than powerful enough to handle Weirdmageddon, even if he still lost.
- However his Cartoon Fight Club counterpart was defeated prior to the series finale of Gravity Falls and My Little Pony Friendship is magic meaning Cartoon Fight Club fight was outdated.
- Bill's victory is considered by fans as one of the biggest pyrrhic victories in the series, as even though Bill succeeded in killing Discord, he lost his rule over Equestria, and was in a worse state than Discord by the end of the battle. Some fans even believe that Discord could return anyway due to being a spirit and concept of chaos and disharmony while Bill will stay in the Nightmare Realm.
- Previous pyrrhic victories include Jonathan's victory over Tanjiro (where Jonathan felt remorse for killing Tanjiro) and Silver Surfer's victory over Martian Manhunter (where the Surfer was reluctant to fight and kill the Manhunter and vice versa but had to anyway).
- In his analysis, Bill's real name is listed as rapidly changing scrambled names of the username of various Death Battle community members.
