“ | Horton: It doesn't matter if they're good or evil. They're here to dominate us. They will fight for the right to rule us. And one day, that is what they will do. | „ |
~ Billy believed what Horton said. |
William Kelly, simply known as Billy, is a supporting antagonist in Roland Cain's fanfiction, Highlander: The Avenger.
He was a rookie Watcher turned Hunter, part of a group of renegade Watchers who were killing Immortals. He worked with Pallin Wolf and Lionel Madson during his short service.
He is portrayed by an unknown and uncredited actor.
Prologue[]
Little was known of Billy’s earlier life before his recruitment into the Hunters by James Horton. The Hunters were a cult-like faction of renegade Watchers that saw Immortals as abominations and were hellbent on killing every last one of them. Unlike Wolf, he and Madson really believed the things that Horton told them.
In 1993, Billy was an accessory in several beheadings performed by Wolf. One of the victims was Immortal James Vincent, who was also the pupil and surrogate son of Owen MacLeod and secretly Horton’s archenemy.
A Vengeful Immortal[]
After killing Vincent, Wolf took Billy to a gypsy café, where he chose Duncan MacLeod, Owen’s father as the next victim, seeing him proposing to his girlfriend, Tessa Noël. What Wolf and Billy were unaware of, was that Owen was there and looking for Vincent. He was also hunting the Hunters to avenge Darius' death at Horton's hand.
The next day, Billy lured Duncan and Owen away from Tessa, so that Wolf could take her hostage, and draw Duncan to them. After getting far enough away, another Hunter swooped in and got Billy to safety.
Hours later, he tried to lure Duncan to Wolf's house where they planned to kill him. But he came across Owen instead, who cornered him on a fire escape. as they engaged in a knife fight, Owen forced Billy to fall to his death from the fire escape.
Legacy[]
Billy's death would be in vain when Wolf intended to avenge him. His tactic was countered and he lost his life at Owen’s hand.
Earth 98[]
Despite not being seen or explicitly mentioned by Hugh Fitzcairn in the Duncan-less timeline, it is safe to assume that Billy was one of the corrupted Owen and Lynn Horton's victims in their war against the Hunters.
