The Bishop, also known in the Dark World as B. Shop Himself, is the main antagonist of Deltarune Chapter 4.
The bishop/ruler of B. Shop Town and now-prisoner of Castle Town, Bishop is a delusional cultist that is willing to make sacrifices and kill many of his own people in order to honor and praise his so-called "God". Just like King, Bishop is a cruel and heartless ruler who despises Lightners and will do anything to get his hands on them and prevent them from banishing the Angel's Heaven.
Personality[]
Bishop is cruel, heartless, delusional, and insane. He is well-known for constantly mistreating and abusing his personal cult's members, and shows little to no concern over them, either firing them or outright sacrificing them in his cult's God's honor. During a cutscene, he was also shown to have paid no attention to a member of his cult that was dying from a sickness; he just let that said member die from said sickness.
Despite his cruel and heartless behavior and similar to Queen, Bishop can be quite oblivious to his surroundings. As multiple times was Noelle was in the area with him and would hide by wearing a poor disguise; a box over her head with a face drawn on the front. Bishop would either fail to completely notice her presence or, he will see her but regard her as an entirely different person.
Appearance[]
Bishop appears as a white-skinned man with a short figure. He wears a simple bishop's outfit that is colored in blue, yellow, and black. He is always shown to carry his yellow staff that has a yellow angel-like design on its tip.
Powers[]
- Staff Proficiency: Bishop is skilled with his staff, even during combat.
- Photokinesis: Bishop's signature power. He has an amazingly strong connection to light, and is a proficient user of light manipulation. Bishop is able to create, shape, and manipulate light; he is, according to himself, capable of using his so-called "holy light" to melt anyone down to flesh and bone, or shape his "holy light" into powerful energy beams capable of making anyone explode into gore.
- Ergokinesis: Bishop can project red, white, yellow, and pink concussive blasts of pure concentrated energy from his staff and hands. These blasts carry considerable power, as they are capable of permanently destroying and killing anyone they come in contact with.
