Black, formerly known as Link is the villainous protagonist/secondary antagonist of the Link's Awakening creepypasta.
He was sent by Hyrule to execute all the criminals that were sent to Koholint Island.
Appearance[]
As described by the player, Black looked identical to Link, except that they couldn't tell if his clothes were meant to be in a red or a black colour, but the name gave them a hint.
Personality[]
Black has been shown to enjoy killing everyone on Koholint Island on various sadistic methods, which was shown at the end when he smiled with joy and satisfaction after his job was done. However, he can be seen just as a mere puppet, since the one behind all the execution methods is the Owl.
Biography[]
At an unknown point, Black was a young man called Link who had volunteered to execute the criminals of Koholint Island, presumably out of pleasure of killing bad people.
Being known as Link, he wakes up as he normally does in the game, and Marin says that the time has come, and says she will make preparations. Link then speaks with Tarin, who begins pleading and offers the shield, telling him to go. He also begged, telling Link the location of his sword, and promised that he would make him mushroom stew. Tarin then rushes out.
Link talks to the villagers, who in change laugh at him and make fun of him because of his lack of a sword. Link then makes his way to the beach to find his sword. The Owl then appears and tells him to head to the forest after retrieving the sword. Link heads to the forest and finds Syrup, his first victim, in her hut. Syrup begs, offering Link power for a way out of the island. However, Link refuses and kills Syrup by using the bones of her limbs used for black magic and forcing her to watch, before finally killing her.
Link heads deeper into the forest, finding Tarin in his raccoon form. Tarin attacks Link, but the latter defends himself and viciously attacks Tarin, and the player turns off the game. After they turn it back on, Link was now named Black.
Now known as Black, he finally kills Tarin with one final slash. The Owl tells Black to go deeper into the forest, and he obeys, going back to Syrup's hut to find her horrifying corpse. Black continues exploring until he finds a black sword, which is possibly the sword he was meant to use the whole time. He also finds the ocarina and the fire wand there. The Owl then teaches Black a horrifying song before Black uses the wand to set the forest on fire. Black returns to the village.
Black finds Madame Meowmeow, which is his next victim, who also pleads and begs for mercy. Once again, Black doesn't listen and cuts her into shreds before feeding her to her own pet.
The Owl offers Black a way to end it faster, and plays the horrifying lullaby before Black begins his massacre. Black talks to everyone in the village and killing them one by one in various sadistic methods. Black finally encounters Marin, who tells him that it's almost time. The library she was located in reveals that everyone he killed were actually criminals, except for Marin who was accused for a crime she didn't commit.
After exploring for a little more, Black finally kills Marin, ending the game. The final cutscene reveals Black smiling, satisfied and with joy for what he has done.
