Black is a Rainbow Friend humanoid who originally served as a protector for the researchers, but soon turned to the rogue side after not wanting to hurt any of the other Rainbow Friends.
He serves as a oneshot antagonist in GamerJoob's What Needs To Be In Rainbow Friends character concepts series. Mainly as an enemy in chapter 1.
Physical appearance[]
Black is a slender entity with white dot eyes and messed up teeth, long claws and sharp three toe feet.
Personality[]
Before turning to side with the other Rainbow Friends, Black was meant to be helpful and a protective friend of the researchers if the other Rainbow Friends went hostile, but soon decided to join them as he didn't want to hurt any of the humanoid creations. He also keeps himself quiet and hidden in the shadows to stalk anyone, only to pop out when he decides it's time to.

Black is a quick and nimble Rainbow Friend, being able to move around fast and even cling to the ceilings around the facility, and keep himself hidden from anyone so he could plan surprise attacks.

Origin[]
Most of the researchers at the facility, along with Red, created Black as a backup for security measures so they would have something to help protect them if the other Rainbow Friends went rogue. They were also secretively made as not everyone knew about them, but it all soon changed when they betrayed the researchers and joined the rogued Friends as they didn't want to hurt any of them.
Present day[]
After the test subjects survived the night dealing with Pink, Red made an announcement about mentioning about Black's eagerness ever since their arrival. They've even destroyed the anti-friend trap, which Red tasked the subjects to go search around the facility for bolts and screws to help fix it.
The test subjects went for a search around the facility for the various missing parts to the anti-friend trap whilst avoiding the familiar faces, as well as Black attempting to pick them off when they at least unexpected it. Once they succeeded, the trap activated a dummy that attracted Black's attention and he lunged straight towards the bait, and was soon trapped when the shell closed in on him.
Gameplay mechanics and trivia[]
- Unlike most of the other Rainbow Friends who stick to attacking on ground level, Black will crawl around on ceilings within various hallways and not out in more open areas. Though there are signs of his presence like his shadow, dripping saliva or dangling claws.
- If the player hides in a cardboard box. Black has a 50/50 percent chance of either scurrying away without doing anything harmful, or stealing the player's cardboard box, if they took it, they won't be able to use it again until next round.
- Black's mechanics are very alike to Purple's as they await for unexpected players to pass by and jump out and get them, but also shown very obvious signs of their presences.
