~ Black Impostor before "Finale". |
The Black Impostor is the main antagonist of the Friday Night Funkin mod VS Impostor.
They, like many of the other antagonists in the mod, is an imposter, unlike them however, Black is far bigger and far more dangerous, speaking very few words, Black is the smartest of any of its fellow imposters, with them being able to effectively win any game they are in and use their manipulation skills and fluency with a knife to gun down its opponents, making them the most dangerous of them all. Throughout the mod, Black proves themselves to the most active threat to Boyfriend, being the one to often stand against him and give him a run for his money.
Personality[]
Unlike most of the other Impostors and Crewmates seen, Black doesn't speak. However, it's obvious that they are very bloodthirsty and sadistic, as many body parts of both Boyfriend and Crewmates are seen in their song Defeat. Black is also very determined, as they chase Boyfriend and Girlfriend across the Airship in an attempt to kill them. That said, their patience is not without its limits, as they scream in frustration after the duo evade their wrath after a certain amount of time.
Black is also very intelligent and strategic, being able to ambush and kill an entire room of crewmates (Boyfriend and Girlfriend included) by sabotaging the lights immediately after jumping out of the vents, albeit with some help. They also incredibly manipulative, as demonstrated when they convince everyone to vote Gray's father to be executed. By further extension, Black raises Gray, a crewmate to become a murderer like them, turning the child insane as he grew older.
While they work with other Impostors and murderers, such as White, or their adoptive child, Gray, nothing states or implies Black cares for any one other than themselves. An example of this is shown in an unused cutscene where White and Black find Red's body shortly after he was voted as the Impostor. While White was disturbed by this turn of events, Black simply nudges them with their fist, showing how little they care for the other Impostors.
Biography[]
Prologue[]
Prior to the events of the mod, a parasite had taken ahold of a black crewmate, now using them as a host, Black would use their body to begin slaughtering countless crewmates, seemingly to satiate its own hunger.
Week 3[]
Black makes their first physical appearance in Week 3, where after battling against White, Black would proceed to surprise Boyfriend from behind, smacking him outside a nearby window and onto a platform where they would proceed to start chasing him.
After eventually cornering Boyfriend, Black along with White would proceed to rap battle against him, with the clear intent to kill him where he stands now that he is alone and has nowhere to run, with Black seemingly accomplishing this at the end of the song judging by the kill sound.
Defeat[]
After the events of Week 3, Boyfriend is taken to the Defeat Screen along with Black, them having presumably won that round. It is here where they once again start rap battling in a song appropriately named "Defeat".
It is during the song, that the background is revealed to be completely scattered in corpses, making it clear that this is Black's dumping ground for all the bodies they have acquired, worst part of it is, some of the bodies in the background are of presumably past versions of Boyfriend, showing that this is far from the first time where the two have entered this sort of scenario. Boyfriend shows horror at Black's actions throughout the song.
Week 6[]
Past[]
Having entered a completely innocent game of Among Us, Black calls and emergency meeting and accuses a gray crewmate of being the imposter, with their evidence seemingly being sufficient enough for the other crewmates to agree to vote them out.
After ejecting the gray crewmate, Black would notice that their child was sitting and grieving the fact that their parent had just past. Seeing this as an opportunity, Black would take this crewmate in, and raise them to be a sadistic serial killer just like them.
Present[]
Having infiltrated another game, Black along with Gray would begin a killing spree, brutally slaughtering several crewmates, along with imposters, in various brutal ways. Eventually, after the carnage is finished, only Boyfriend remains, at which point Gray starts a rap battle with him, Black spectating from the background.
Week 7[]
Black plays a mostly background role in this week, being unseen for the first two songs up until the end of Pinkwave, where they jump out from a vent and proceed to sabotage the lights. It is then that them and Gray (who had been standing in the background spectating everything prior to that) proceed to slaughter all of the crewmates there, leaving Gray to face off against Pink.
Identity Crisis[]
While they have no direct connection or appearance to him within the song, according to a now deleted video by BlueStopSign, Black had hired Monotone to assassinate Boyfriend, with this ultimately failing as he manages to come out of it alive.
Finale[]
Having become tired of Boyfriend's persistence, Black decides to finally take it upon themselves to finish him off, battling against him in one ultimate final battle appropriately named "Finale".
It is here that Black reveals their parasite form, which proves to be far bigger and more terrifying than any seen before them, with them now using their full force to put an end to Boyfriend, with this seemingly working, judging by the kill sound at the end of the song. (This has been disproven.)
Epilogue[]
In an unfinished cutscene, after the events of Finale, the parasite that had latched itself to Black had seemingly been detached, with this allowing the original Black to regain control over their body.
However, as seen at the end of the cutscene, the parasite is far from gone, as they had now managed to attach themselves to Red. (Note: This has been confirmed to still be canon by Clowfoe, the creator of Vs. Impostor)

Trivia[]
- Black has one of the highest kill counts of any Friday Night Funkin´ villain.
- Out of all the characters in the mod, Black’s gender is the most unclear, however there was a tweet provided by Clowfoe that they were a female. However, they later retconned this. It is unclear if this is still actually canon, or they have no gender. It is worth noting that, in the files of VS Impostor V4, there is a folder of pride flags pertaining to the sexual and gender identity of the Impostors in the mod: Black is represented by the genderfluid pride flag.
- Black is notably taller than the other Impostors and Crewmates. Their visor is also more rectangular and blocky, while as the other Impostors have rounded visors.
- In V3, they looked relatively similar to other Crewmates and Impostors. The slight change in design was to most likely help them stand out as the big bad of the mod.
- Black has a huge hatred of anime since they were heavily afraid of Goku from Dragon Ball growing up.
- Black isn't an actual human, instead being a malicious A.I. inside the game of Among Us. There is no reason for them to be there. They just are.
- Black is in fact the original Impostor, as the Impostor buttons in Among Us have Black in them, which further explains why they have a red glow in their eye.
- They have a lover. However, it's one of the dev's who works on the mod, so it's debatable whether or not this is actually canon within said mod's context.
