The Black Knife is a major antagonistic faction in the sci-fi action series OUTKAST: Youngblood.
They are an alliance of all the remaining crime families that survived the Insurgence. The members are representatives of each of the surviving families, which range from the American Crime underworld, the Russian and Italian Mafias, to even the Triads and the Yakuza. They control the remnant of the criminal underworld under the Collective.
Overview[]
The Alliance is helmed by eight crime lords, each representing a crime family that survived the Insurgence. Juno, Holo, and Arlo represent the American crime organizations that assimilated into one to help the general public survive the Insurgence. Orion represents the drug cartels of Latin America, Glitch represents the Italian Mafia, Takahashi represents the Japanese Yakuza, Zhen Xieren represents the Chinese Triads, and Dymitri Baranov represents the Russian Mafia. No one leader has more power over another, and all share joint leadership.
Each of the eight bosses own a segment of Nueva York City, the main hub of their operations. From there, they command a vast underground criminal network. The Black Knife is also heavily involved with the mercenary market, usually hiring them to carry out contract killings.
The Collective has an alliance with the Black Knife. In exchange for legal immunity, the Knife provides the Collective support against NUESTRA. However, this alliance has been slowly deteriorating, not helped by X's killings of Dmitri Baranov and Arlo. There is no system in place to replace a head of the Knife if they are killed, which can weaken the leadership.
