The black worm disease also known as the black worm virus are the main antagonist in BFDI AU series by the same name created by Eamonn65 The virus was created by Anti-Shroomy and MR TV Who hated BFDI, she got an idea to used the Black worms to take over dream island and Yoyleland

in 2010 January 1st, shroomy created the disease which she named the disease called The black worms that will help to infected the contestants was able to rapidly evolve due to dream island's temperature increasing. Initially unable to infect humans due to their higher body temperatures, this new strain of evolved Black worms was resistant to such temperatures, and thus was able to use humans as hosts. As such, in the summer of 2010, the Black worm outbreak occurred. Starting in Yoyleland, dream island, the infection rapidly spread to the do United States of Yoyleland and the rest of the world, causing a complete breakdown of global civilization. The Black worms infected humans primarily through yeast products like food created from it, like cookies and bread except candy and breakfast ,they feed caterpillars an insect and animal
Once infected, early symptoms of the infection include coughing, slurred speech, muscle spasms, and increased aggression. The Black worms eventually hijacks the host's motor functions and takes control of their body, turning them violently aggressive. Relying on warped instincts, they are compelled to attack and infect other people in order to spread the infection via tendrils that sprouted from the mouth. The infected also seem to be all linked together as a hive mind due to the network of Black worms growing underground. Disturbing one patch of the Black worms could awaken another one with a horde of infected hosts lying dormant up to one mile away.
