Bob is the main antagonist of the Friday Night Funkin' parody mod literally every fnf mod ever, also known as Vs Bob. He is a poorly-drawn creature that rap battles against Boyfriend several times, getting more enraged each time he loses.
Biography[]
Bob first appears in the Bob Week of his mod. Meeting Boyfriend and Girlfriend on a seemingly innocent-looking hill, Bob asks Boyfriend what he is before calling him stupid, after which they proceed to rap battle each other in Sunshine. After being beaten, Bob gets frustrated at Boyfriend, with the blue-haired midget only making him angrier by saying he looks like Dream, causing Bob to grab the text box and crush it. After the next song, Withered, Bob finally reaches his breaking point, first shaking out of anger before crushing his mic, transforming into a terrifying version of himself with hyper-realistic eyes, and turning the background into a hellish-looking place with spikes, with Pico shown impaled on one of them. He proceeds to fight Boyfriend in an extremely difficult song called Run, however despite his efforts Boyfriend still prevails.
In the next week called Bob's Onslaught, Bob, Boyfriend and Girlfriend are shown teleporting away from the place they were in during Run. Boyfriend and Girlfriend encounter Ron, a new character, who fights them in "cool rap", before Bob impales Ron with a spike and causes him to die (in a cool way). Bob, appearing as a strange mix of his normal and Run forms, rap battles Boyfriend in another song known as Trouble. After that, Bob transports Boyfriend, Girlfriend and himself into another dark place, appearing in a new form. He speaks with anger at Boyfriend, only for Boyfriend to once again say he looks like Dream, causing Bob to flip the bird using a website. During the last song, Onslaught, Bob tries everything in his power to make Boyfriend lose, including making the note layout disappear and making random ads pop up on-screen. Despite all his efforts, Boyfriend still wins, causing Bob to admit his defeat before a screen with a link and a very loud sound appears.
Personality[]
Bob is an intentionally Laughably Evil villain to sell the mod as a parody of most other Friday Night Funkin' mods. In the dialogue before Sunshine, Bob says Boyfriend looks stupid for no reason. Despite that, when he himself is beaten and made fun of, Bob gets extremely frustrated, crushing the text box and transforming into a terrifying form to defeat Boyfriend. Bob's hatred for Boyfriend only worsens in Bob's Onslaught, in part thanks to him losing multiple times and Boyfriend saying he looks like Dream.
Bob is also quite murderous. In Run, Pico is shown impaled on one of the spikes in the background, and when Bob finds Ron near Boyfriend and Girlfriend before Trouble, he immediately impales him with a spike and kills him. If Boyfriend loses to him in Onslaught, Bob will not hesitate to impale him too. Bob could also be sadistic, as he does many of his actions for seemingly no reason (again, this is probably intentional due to his status as a parody of typical FNF mods), and he admits before Onslaught that he looked on Boyfriend as a joke for his own amusement. Phlox even said on Twitter that Bob often plays with Ron's corpse, "just to show who's on top".
Powers and Abilities[]
- Spike manipulation: Bob's primary method of killing is to impale victims with spikes that he can summon out of nowhere. He impales Pico on a spike during Run, he kills Ron in this method before Trouble, and he impales Boyfriend if he loses in Onslaught.
- Reality warping: Bob can seemingly alter reality around him in different ways. This includes changing the background in Run and Onslaught, and introducing all sorts of new mechanics in Onslaught, such as the layout disappearing and pop-up ads appearing.
- Teleportation: Bob can teleport himself and others to different locations.
