Bob Velseb is the main villain protagonist of the DeviantArt Spooky Month Fan-Comic comic A Story Before Bed, which was made by BlackBunnyDraws.

He seemed to be an affable guy that Lila became trusting at first glance. However, he would later be shown to be a serial killer who dresses up as a devil before going to kill as many people during Halloween.

Biography[]

Past[]

Not much is known about Bob's life before the events of Spooky Month. However, it can be speculated that Bob Velseb used to run the butchery shop called Boys and Grills, which he used as a front to store bodies or sell them to unwitting customers. However, the store would end up being closed down after his arrest, with ownership transferred to somebody else. He also has a connection to a mysterious cult as well.

However, in this adaptation, Bob Velseb had not met Lila as a child, and would instead would have met Lila one day when she was an adult, with both being strangers.

A Horror Story Before Bed[]

Bob Velseb is shown to be the storyteller within this comic.

In the comic, Bob Velseb would tell the story would be told as a "Horror Story before Bed" for Skid. Bob Velseb had met Lila one day, in which the latter would trust him after a few conversations.

Bob Velseb would later ask Lila for her home address in order so he could give her a "surprise" for Halloween the next day, in which Lila would accept to do so without any hesitation. However, this choice would be one of the biggest mistakes that Lila make that would end up costing her life, as Bob Velseb would come to her house on the very day of Halloween.

Bob Velseb would ring the door at Lila's house. When Lila opened the door, Bob Velseb, who is in his devil costume, would attack her with a flaying knife for his "surprise" for her.

When Bob Velseb hears the cries of baby Skid, Bob Velseb would go to the hallway to find him, with the morbid curiosity about hurting a baby and wondering about what would eating a baby would be like.

However, the moment he got Skid out of the crib, Skid would stop crying and would instead smile at Bob, much to the latter's surprise. Skid's innocence and sweetness made Bob Velseb doubt his intentions. Bob Velseb would instead take Skid to adopt and raise him as his own son.

In the end of the comic, in the current day, Bob Velseb has been shown to finish telling the "story" as a good lesson about why to be careful with strangers, in which Skid likes the story while likely unaware that his biological mother Lila is left to die on the floor from blood loss and succumbing to her injuries.

Personality[]

In this adaptation, while Bob Velseb is shown to be very similar to his original counterpart-a sadistic, psychotic and insane serial killer who likes maiming and eating people. However, the difference is that in this story, he lacks any villainous breakdowns that his original counterpart has and is shown to be charismatic whenever he is not in his costume.

While he did originally plan on killing baby Skid out of a morbid curiosity about what eating a baby would be like, he would stop when he saw Skid smile at him, with Skid's innocence and sweetness somehow making Bob Velseb decide not to kill Skid and would choose to adopt and raise Skid as his son instead.
