Bob the Builder is the titular villainous main protagonist of the Mashed video Bob the Cowboy Builder, an installment of the "Cartoon Nightmares" series.
He is a parody of the cartoon character with the same name, but was also portrayed as a rude, self-conceited jerk who only concerns about himself.
He was voiced by Gwithian Evans.
Biography[]
Bob was originally like his cartoon version, who comes up with ideas to fix things and help people, until Wendy ran off with Farmer Pickles, and many economical changes, such as the cost of living, or building regulations. This made Bob grew disillusioned with the society he lives in, at one point, he decided it was every man for himself, and started to become lazy and inconsiderate. The opening song of the video shows he often skive, peeing on someone's sink, or stealing from others. He also forced Judy Jackhammer to get the implants, and shipped her to gangsters as payoff for busting the union. He also reminded the machines that "she made HER own bloody choices!".
In the video, Bob is first seen forcing Lofty to steal of house roof and taking it with them. Then, Bob is seen throwing up in Dizzy, before going for another work. He took some offcuts from the dumpster behind B&Q, and built a house with the price £500,000. When Scoop said that was unfair, Bob did not care and justifies it by saying he got bills to pay and sentient equipment to maintain. As the machines keep talking about Bob's past doings, Bob goes on a rant about how money changed him and threatened to scrap them if they keep talking about the past.
Just when he realized Lofty was gone, he was knocked out by him. When he woke up, he found himself stuck in a concrete pool. Scoop then reveals his plan of taking over the society to which Bob can only look on in fear. The ending shows that the machines have taken over the world, and turning it into a mechanical dystopia. Bob is seen among the enslaved humans.
