Bonnet is a former minor antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's fanfiction Mike's New Ghostly Family, by Archcommander-Tenebros. She is a small pink bunny hand puppet animatronic that is very similar to Funtime Freddy's companion Bon-Bon in appearance and structure.

She used to roam empty halls of Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental without any purpose before encountering Mike Schmidt, who went to CBEAR to destroy all traces of Remnant left. Though she initially tried to kill the man, she was quickly defeated by Liz, but was spared and saved from CBEAR's flaming destruction. Afterwards, she had her malicious programming removed by Mike, and, now free of her homicidal urges, was entrusted to his friend Melody for safekeeping and providing companionship.

Appearance[]

Bonnet is a small pink bunny hand puppet animatronic that resembles a female version of Bonnie. She wears a red bowtie and has a button affixed on her chest.

Personality[]

Bonnet is incapable of speech, instead communicating only with cheerful giggles or other sounds. She possesses a giddy and cheerful personality, acting like a young and excitable child. Similarly to other Funtime animatronics, Bonnet's AI is advanced enough to allow her to develop independent thoughts and feel emotions like joy, amusement, fear or sadness. Though she shared the same murderous urges with the other Funtime animatronics due to her malicious programming, she doesn't want to be a homicidal machine, and when presented with a choice to have her murderous programming removed, she accepted it without any hesitation. When freed of her homicidal urges, she became a lot more happier, immediately bonding with the Schmidt family and Melody.

History[]

Bonnet was created by William Afton for unclear reasons, presumably to serve as a backup for Bon-Bon. When the main Funtime animatronics were scooped and formed Ennard, escaping inside Michael Afton's body, Bonnet was left behind to roam in empty CBEAR hallways. When Afton's Robotics went out of business, Mike Schmidt and his ghost children decided to sneak into the building to destroy the last traces of Remnant that still remain in the building.

When Mike Schmidt's presence was notified to other animatronics by a Minireena, Bonnet joined the others in trying to kill the man. She made her presence first known when Mike finished reading through William's documents in the Private Room, sneaking into the place undetected. But when she lunged at him, Liz (ghost of Elizabeth Afton) bludgeoned her with her ghostly Scrap Baby form's claw and then issued her a warning to stay away from her adoptive father and tell the others to do the same, threatening to tear her apart if she makes another attempt on his life. Bonnet immediately complied and fled the room as fast as possible.

Afterwards, when Mike Schmidt and his ghostly children set up the preparations to burn CBEAR down, Liz started the flames. When she was about to carry Charlie (whose Marionette body was irrepairably damaged by Electrobab), she noticed Bonnet crawling back, pleading for mercy. Liz misinterpreted her intentions and tried to destroy the hand puppet animatronic, but Charlie stopped her, informing her that Bonnet came here because she doesn't want to die in a fire nor does she want to live as a homicidal machine. Liz was initially skeptical, but the sight of Bonnet's terrified, pleading look, as well as Charlie suggesting that Mike or Melody could reprogram her, convinced her to change her mind. However, Liz stated that she will save Bonnet only if the hand puppet agrees to be turned off to ensure that she won't be a threat to her father, an offer Bonnet accepted without any hesitation. Afterwards, Liz turned Bonnet off, put her on Charlie's hand, and evacuated them both out of the burning facility right before it was destroyed in a fiery explosion.

Some time after CBEAR's destruction, Mike worked on trying to remove Bonnet's murderous programming, but was struggling to find out how. Fortunately, the solution was provided by Shadow Freddy, ghostly form of Evan Afton, who, after providing Mike with blueprints for Circus Baby to recreate Liz's favorite animatronic untainted by William's evil, revealed that the Funtime animatronics have two separate programming mechanisms, one for animatronic functions that also gave them minds and personalities on their own, and the other for homicidal child-murdering commands. With that in mind, Mike Schmidt was able to remove her homicidal programming mechanism (though he got it wrong on the first try), removing her homicidal urges. Now docile, she immediately took the liking to Mike and his ghost children, following them around and having fun with them.

When the Schmidts went on their first vacation trip to the highlights of Southwest America, Bonnet was entrusted to Mike's close friend Melody Park for safekeeping, along with the rest of the house. The woman quickly bonded with a bunny puppet animatronic, and, after the vacation, Mike decided to let Melody keep Bonnet, seeing that she can take much better care of her than Mike and his children can.
